Where can I download the older iPiMP v3.4.0 release for Mediaportal 1.0.0.0?

    Hi,

First, thx for this great plugin.
I am currently testing it using Ghrome and Safari on a windows client. Everything exept watching a transcoded video seems to work. The client gives me an error saying ( error -43: a file could not be found () ) The Url it trys to contact looks like http://<IP>/MP4/<short name>.

Any idea how to get this right?

Just installed this and works great... well did to start with.

Followed the instructions and it all installed fine and worked OK with viewing tv guide, recordings, set one to transcode manually.

However I had to restart my htpc and now it refuses to do any of the above. Trying to do any of the above brings up the spinning disc inplace of the ">" but then that just reverts back to the ">"

The webapp lauches OK and afaik the services have started so I don't know what's changed.

    (usin MP1.0.0.0 and ipimp 3.4.0)

    Help would be much appreciated

edit : running a singleseat installation. under ipimp settings it has tv server as localhost and refuses to change from this - is this a problem?

Does the MP4 file exist in the transcode location set during the install?

Also read the troubleshooting section of the wiki and post the logs detailed in there.

Localhost is fine. Can you confirm that that both the iPiMPweb and TVServer servcies have started on your HTPC?

Both ipimp and tv server are running fine

    Files are attached here

Tried deleting and adding client again with no effect

When going to MP Clients > htpc it comes up with "Could not connect..."

Though i believe the settings to be fine

    ============
It'll give me card, disk and transcode status info atm.....

edit again: it seems to be working fine atm - strange :? though i still get the connect error

Have you enabled the iPiMP client plugin in MediaPortal setup?

Have you added a hostname or IP address when you added your MP client in iPiMP administration?

    Hi Cheezey.

Thanks for the plug-in:D. I just installed it on MP1.01 combined tv-server and client. I already run girder with a webserver at port 80 so I had to use another port, the installation was smooth apart from my initial problem with the webserver. It works great if I use it with a laptop and firefox but I couldn't get it to work on my ipaq 614c with windows mobile 6. I tried opera 9.5 beta and the iris browser. I could log in but no menues worked.

One problem with MediaPortal is that it seems to not exist any general interface for other applications. The music system squeezebox has for example a general interface that people has used to develop applications for the pronto remotes, the software can for example browse music on the screen. I would be great to have something similar for mediaportal for videos and tv-server:)

I would like to use the server side of IPimp together with a remote control, a philips pronto 9400. The remote can handle TCP/IP and javascript but it do not have a web-browser and can not handle video streams. I already use girder as a server side with tcp/ip, girder then control MP. It works great but I only have one way control and no short-cuts in Mediaportal as in the Ipimp remote. Would it be possible to use the Ipimp server and send commands and requests to the server directly? A first test could be to see if one can use the remote in Ipimp direcly from the pronto. Is it possible to control it with telnet?

I am using MP 1.0.1.0 under Vista with dedicated TVserver. The recording was transcoded just fine. In this case the filename is "Ingang Oost (EO) - Nederland 1 - 2009-04-27.mp4" The IPIMP browser "changes" the file name to "Ingang". This file is not there. The log shows this:

[Tue Apr 28 13:46:03 2009] [error] [client 172.19.3.170] File does not exist: E:/MP4/Ingang

Its maybe an issue with your local host file. I encountered this issue after an MS update. Check the hosts file under "windows/system32/drivers/etc" and see if the localhost is still in there. (127.0.0.1 localhost).
