iPhone loves aac. Can you view the video and hear audio if you view it on the pc?

Cheezey, if I open the encoded file on my PC with quicktime it still doesn't have sound.... Nice video... But no sound... This is on a number of PCs so pretty sure it's nothing like volume or speakers not being plugged in. ;-)

And are you running with the default ffmpeg parameters in the transcode plugin?

Can you read the log gathering instructions from the wiki and post some logs.

Streamer (and VLC4iPhone, i'ts the same) are not working very well. Both products are still in beta state (my opinion) and there are a lot of viedo freezes even with a very low bitrate video. I tested it excessivly for a long time... with no luck.

Hi cheezey

I have an ipod touch since 2 days and I am realy impressed by your application. It looks very professional and does a good job.

I would like to filter out some channels (or channel-groups) from this interface, as I will not be the only user. Would it be possible that you upload the source of iPiMPWeb somewhere? Or would it be easier in the aspx-code (I am not a programer, but some smal changes I maybe manage).

Regarding live-streaming, I did also have a look around, like probably lot of people. I wonder how netTV from App Store is working. This program streams 3 different streams from here in Switzerland in quite good quality (full screen). Unfortunately it is not possible there to add streams. I assume that the take the stream and then kind of transform it before they restream it?

On Chestnut Soft they write that their software is based on FFMPEG and also publish some code, maybe this helps somebody, that is a real programer?

Cheezey , great plugin
I know you are rewriting the whole app, so I was hoping to get a couple of requests in before you finish.
I really only use it for music, and I dont see alot of posts requesting any enhancements, so here it goes.
- when viewing music , its always is organized in album submenus- is there anyway to make an option to just view all tracks from the selected artist, without having to dig down
- the enqueue feature always restarts the now playing track back to the beginning. very annoying.
- the now playing screen would be awesome if it had next track info like you see when you hit the red button in MP, and if it would auto refresh when the track changes, that would be a nice bonus, maybe even a link to get lyrics or more artist info in a new page.
Thanks, this is the most useful app for MP yet, I like to entertain and I am not always sitting near the MP htpc connected to the stereo, which is pumping music throughout the house and outside. Its great to be able to control the volume and the playlist from my pocket, and with the above mentioned improvements, I may be the perfect app, if there is such a thing.

I have an external application from which I would like to readout the title and artist of the song currently played via a Text-to-speech engine. So is there any possibility to get these informations by using your plugin?
I would like to get:
-Artist name
-Track title,
-Album title,
-Year (if possible)
-Genre (if possible)
Or do you have any other idea, how to get these information out of MP?

You can use the existing iPiMP client plugin to get Now Playing information, the plugin source code is posted on the wiki. I am currently re-writing iPiMP so this client plugin will change.
