Kyght Ryder, are you using mono plug emitters? I think it has to be a mono plug to work correctly -- I think I remember this from the old usb-uirt forums. Hope you get it worked out.

One feature that I am missing is a generic serial port plugin, similar to the SerialUIR in the standard MP Configuration remote section. The closest thing I have found is the IRMan plugin, using a fix 6 byte code at a baudrate of 9600, but unfortunately that plugin require a startup handshake procedure between the plugin and the receiver before any commands are accepted and sent to the server.

Also, there is a Pinnacle serial plugin that could work, but I do not have the protocol and baudrate spec for that one

Maybe there is an existing solution that I have missed?

Supporting Imon receivers is now on my To Do list, but I don't have one so it might take a while.

As far as Hauppauge support goes: I am adding receiver support a the moment, and I have a small exe for doing channel changes on an STB. But using it as a general IR blaster is not going to happen any time soon, if it all. There is some pretty complicated code being used in Lirc to do it. But without a unit of my own to test with it would take a LOT of trial and error to get it working in IR Server Suite.

I have just installed the new MP 1.0 and of course the latest version of IRSS. Found great improvements, especially the iMon support (waiting for the native wake on lan which I implemented with the IRSS + an external program). I am wondering if there is any chance to consider adding support to the hauppauge IR blaster or if there is any way with the current version to work with it (command line or whatever). Just to check if in these months you were able to find out a way to interact with this piece of hw. Ideally I am looking for:
- Input: imon receiver (it doesn't matter if it is with the iMon remote or the MCE one as I have both)
- Output: Hauppauge ir blaster
That should be great although you have a lot fo requests and that means a lot of work. Thank you very much for your great suite. Cheers!!

I just recently started using Mediaportal, and have an PVR-150 MCE edition. I installed IRSS, and I seem to be able to learn my satellite receiver codes, and when I click test and port 1, my receiver changes channels, etc. As soon as I go into MP, and try to change channels, it changes in MP, but my receiver doesn't change. I am using a Gyration GYR3101US remote. What would be the settings to make use of this remote instead of the one that came with the PVR-150?

I would just like to get it to work. I know its me, but I would love documentation on exactly how to install and configure. I know, computer people aren't supposed to read the manual. but its seem I need to.

Amen to that! The doc is better than most, but I still can't even get the mP control plugin configuration to open, much less trigger commands to other equipment. My questions in the main thread have gone unanswered.

IDK what lang the plugin is wrote in, but I am a developer myself VB.NET, and have the gyration remote. I would be willing yo help on creating support for this device!

Feature request:

A mouse mode for translator. Or maybe a cicle-key. A key assigned to switch the remote between normal function, keyboard input, mouse mode etc.
