Am I the only one that is not getting MP to blast - even though everything is working great while testing in "STB setup" (test)?

i am facing the same problem, my setup is USBUIRT and tv03.
i learned the ir commands for my stb, testing each digit works fine, even the test in the server plugin works fine but i dont know how to get mp blasting the channel number to my stb. im sure that i am missing something in the configuration.
either the setup of my external channels is wrong or i did miss something in the server blaster config.

a little howto would be appreciated very much :)

I guess the answer will be no, but nonetheless I ask.
Not all X10 use IR, some of them use radio instead. Are there X10 also supported or is it just IR as the name says.

Give it a try, I can't test any of the X10 stuff because I don't have any, but give it a try and let me know. There is no restriction in the software that it shouldn't support RF X10 stuff.

@Everyone having trouble with TV3 channel changing:

I've had a bit of ongoing trouble with this area, I'll look at it again and release a new test version soon. Sorry for the trouble.

    Cheers,

    Hey everyone,

I've updated the Test Version on the first page.

I've added mouse controls to Translator and tried to fix a few bugs.

So grab a copy and let me know if you have any trouble.

Also ... The next test release will be very big for MCE remote users. I guarantee it!

It will have a completely re-written MCE device interface that will mean:

    - It no longer relies on "mceir.dll" ... Which will improve reliability and will support both the replacement and eHome drivers.

    - Improved IR learning reliability. I mean, REALLY improved. It works every time on my test setup.

    - More supported IR protocols ...
+ Current system supports decoding of Sony, NEC, RC5, RC6, and RECS80.
+ New system will support all of the old standards plus JVC and RCA (Used by XBox remote) at least. And will be expanded in the future to support even more.

    - And more (but I'll fill you in on that later) ...

It's working in a proof-of-concept version on my system here, and as soon as I'm happy with it I'll be letting you all play with it too ...

    Thanks for your ongoing support,

    Cheers,

I've the same problem than Spragleknas and matis1.
My setup is TV3 and USBUIRT to control my stb.
All worked fine with TV3 SNV 15115 until I've updated to the last TV3 SVN (15268). Now, the Test button at configuration is working fine but MP does nothing when changing channels.
To make a try, I've reverted to SVN 15115 but problem persists (??). Searching the logs I've found next message at error.log:
    20/07/2007 23:46:45 1 System.Exception: Failed to start local pipe server "irserver\client02"
    at TvEngine.TV3BlasterPlugin.OpenLocalPipe()

I'll be waiting for the solution - IR Server is great!
    THANKS A LOT!

Could the guys having trouble with the TV3Blaster plugin please try the following and let me know if it fixes the problem:

Go to Start Menu, Run ...
    Type:
    services.msc
    and press enter.

Locate the TV Server service in the list and right-click, Properties.

Go to the Log On tab and check the box marked:
Allow service to interact with desktop

Then restart the computer and try again.

Please let me know if this solves your problem.

    Thanks.

I've resolved the "mistery" and was NOT a bug...
When installed TV3 SVN 15268 the card ids changed their numbers. The configuration on the TV3 Blaster Plugin for my STB stayed at the wrong card...
Of course, when traying the Test button at configuration I've not paid attention to the card names...

Sorry. IR Server is RALLY great! ;)

been using this program for the last couple of days and it is awsome.
Have managed to get all my MCE remote related issues sorted but also likeing the IR Blast command prompt. I can now turn my TV off from a website.

My only possible update would be to be able to send Macros over IR Blast Command prompt

Keep up the good work and-81

    thanks mukow,

I was thinking about command line macro processing ... I might add it to the Translator application, because it already has all the code needed to process macros.

I'll add it to the list of improvements :)

    Cheers,
