hey guys , am trying to connect irserver with imon so i can use my mce remote.

i selected to enable my imon receiver in the configuration but am getting the following log

cafe.racer please post MCE transceiver log. Also, what was the intermittent error message?

Hi Clinton.

The intermittent error message I was getting is attached (capture.png). This was with the previous build and a few versions before that. When it happened, it happened on resume.

I've just Tested the IR command twice, blasting it to both ports, then I blasted to Port 1, then port 2 and then port 1 again. Funnily enough, this time it worked!!! It does blast on port_1. I am 100% positive it did not before.

I will change my macros to blast to port 1 and I'll let you know if it fails again. If you want the log still, let me know, I've nt attached it because it's 2Mb.

failed to locate Irssutils assembly

Hi guys,

I am unsure if this is directly related to IRSS but thought one of you might have stumbled accorss it at some stage. When I am in th MPconfig for the client I click on the plugins and i get the following error,

Failed to locate Irssutils assembly ... must be in the media portal folder etc etc

There is another thread but it is aimed at a tvconfig error and the file referred to does not exist on my machine Thread link

I have posted there as well just in case. My setup is a single seat server/client running on a Vista OS

IR Server Suite w/GBPVR: IRBlast.exe Error

Hi All,
Hope it's OK to bring over the problem I'm having getting IR Server Suite to work with GBPVR. I'm trying to change channels on a DTA (Pace DC50x) and am getting no joy. Everything sets up OK, Server Suite learns the remote commands, but the channels don't change. Looking at the logs, both the server and translater logs look OK (no errors), but the IR Blast log does not. I've attached that log. I also don't see the blaster bud flashing or anything. I'm using an MCE remote with beanbag and bud.

The intermittent error message ... happened on resume.

I'm guessing you call Translator from an external program on resume, passing in a macro name as argument. There is sometimes apparently no response from the running Translator instance within 1 second, hence a timeout. Maybe your system tends to be busy on resume. Maybe also the (hard coded) timeout is a bit tight - perhaps someone else who knows this bit of the code could comment. I use the Event tab in Translator itself to run a macro on resume, and have never seen this error.

Tested the IR command ... both ports ... this time it worked ... 100% positive it did not before.

I might know why. If it happens again it's the start of the log with the device capabilities etc. that's of interest.

Cheers Clinton - that's exactly right. I've thought of a number between 1 and 999. I bet you know that too?

I use MST to call a .BAT files that runs IRSS Macros using the IRSS exe command line switches - I do this because Herman has added "Resume on User Interaction" so I can leave the TV and AMP off when the PC resumes to record/update the guide etc. I used to use the Event tab (I still do for Suspend), but obviously that would always turn the stuff on.

trying to get my Mac Mini with a Logitech Harmony One to work.
But i´m lost

Have enabled the Mac Mini IR Receiver
The Harmony is setup as a MCE Remote. (That works fine when i use a MCE Remote Receiver @Mac Mini)

The IRSS Setup has detectet the Mini Receiver but what´s next?
Can i somewhere test the Receiver?

I think you'll find some errors in your log. We are still trying to get this plugin working, but it's not that east without the hardware.

So, if i activate "Mac Mini" in the IRSS Setup and then in the MP IRSS Plugin Config use MCE Remote, it should work?

Hi Brudertac - this is exactly the configuration I want to use for my client machines (Mac Minis) as well - did you have any success???

I've got the apple ir working with the apple remote in windows but not in MP - I configured IRSS to use the Mac Mini receiver but in the debug client I can't learn anything - not sure if this is expected behaviour...
