    It seems from your error log that you have not provided the correct database name or password for user 'sa'. Are you sure your SQLServer database is MpTvDb? If so, is the password correct? By default the password is mediaportal. I am not sure if it is case sensitive or not.

    You can try installing the free MS SQL Server Management Studio and check to see if you can connect to the database.

    hi i've not been able to use irss properly since 1.0.4.1 but i've lived with however i can find it to download anywhere and the new version won't work so i'm stuck, the error below is thrown up whenever i try to mapp buttons in mp config, i've tried searching for an answer but it just gives me a link to this thread and without reading the many many pages (which i have tried) i can find the answer any clues?!

    After installing 3158, IR Configuration presents the dialog to report an exception to MS whenever it terminates (even clicking "Cancel"). Could this also be due to mismatched components? I have tried deinstalling and reinstalling IRSS. I'm running 1.0.2 at present. Are there logs I can provide? If so, which ones?

    The standard MP logs are attached, along with an export of msinfo32. I just wasn't sure if IRSS had its own log files.
    Thanks for your efforts!

    P.S. The crash doesn't occur if I invoke IRSS configuration from another PC using MS Terminal Services (using Administrator login)!?

    Unfortunately logs from 1.0.2 cannot be easily opened ( bug in the zip library we used at that time ).
    Any way I would need more those from IRSS...

    We are going to release a new build of IRSS with some rework on that area, so maybe just way a few days and try with newest :p

    Just thought I would mention that with the latest MediaPortal SVN (24281) the IRSS TV-Server plug-in is broken. It installs OK, but you can not access the configuration screen in TV-Server and can therefore not configure it to blast IR-commands. Rolling back to the previous SVN fixes the problem....

    So if anyone is thinking of installing the latest SVN, just know that it will break your IR-blasting... :D:D

    Fix is already committed in IRSS svn but I didn't yet have time to build and upload the new version.

    Will try to do it later.

It installs OK, but you can not access the configuration screen in TV-Server and can therefore not configure it to blast IR-commands. Rolling back to the previous SVN fixes the problem....

    So if anyone is thinking of installing the latest SVN, just know that it will break your IR-blasting... :D:D
