Hi Aaron,

Is it necessary to Uninstall the current version first and then install this version (1.0.4.2 Preview 2), or is it OK to just install 1.0.4.2 Preview 2 over the top of the current version?

If it is necessary (or advisable) to uninstall first, then none of the setups (macros, etc) will be lost - correct?

It's not required but it can't hurt, just to be safe.

And no, you shouldn't lose any settings or macros, unless there has been a change to the format of either. In this case, neither has changed.

G'day again,
I uninstalled 1.0.4.1 and re-installed 1.0.4.2 preview 2 but it doesn't load any transmit plugin as you will see from the input service log. I have been using quick setup Amstrad DRX-300 which appears to work well with my Foxtel Pace box (pace 3100 I think). When I get it working properly I will let you know if it is reliable as this foxtel box is very difficult to learn commands, or it was with 'My Blaster' plugin.

I have trouble getting PowerDVD 7.3 to co-operate with translator (always been issue with previous versions too I guess). It recognizes only commands I put on System Wide-section. Is there somewhere a list of Windows messages I could use for controlling PowerDVD? Maybe translator is sending commands to wrong form when PowerDVD is active. Could it be possible to define the class of Form which commands would be sent? I guess CDxWindow could be correct for PowerDVD.

My current workaround is to put all System and PowerDVD command on System Wide and then I've added other programs to list (Firefox and MediaPortal) with copy of System commands (not PowerDVD) and activated "Ignore Syste-Wide mappings". I just have to add every program I use often to Translator and copy macros I want for whole system (like Projector handling commands, MP launch).

Event mapper issue & question

Hi Aaron

I must begin to say...what an awesome plugin!!!!

I am battling with the event mapper. On PC_Suspend I tell it to switch off tv(Blast IR), that works fine. I also have the PC_Resume setup to switch on the TV (same IR command), that does not work when resuming from hibernate.

I will include relevant logs.

Question, is there a way that event mapper can know whether the systems wakes up for a recording or if it was manually woken up? I dont want the tv to switch on when the system wakes up for a recording. I would appreciate any sugggestions.

There is a new 1.0.4.2 Preview in the first post of the 1.0.4.1 thread. It has a lot of bug fixes in it so please try it out and let me know if you have any trouble.

If it works well I will release it properly and then move on to preparing 1.0.5.0 (which will have some MAJOR changes).

Tried last (beta) - but it was a no-go for me. In STB-setup, it blasts perfect but nothing happens in MP.

I reverted back to good-old 10.18 (or was it 10.28?), which is my favorite version (only one I got to work, I think )

Anyway, I've attached my logfiles. Note: I am perfectly OK with using an older version, so don't mind my "problem" if it only concerns me. I attach these logs in case it is a IRSS bug - and not my messed system )

Right I have installed the latest version. I'm not entirely sure if I'm not doing this right..

I wanted to use the currently redundant buttons on my remote (as I can rename them on the remotes screen) to do things in MP (the currently do nothing). Can this software allow me to map these buttons to an action in MP? If so, how do I do this.. (I'm presuming run input service, select IR device, then use the IR server control plugin in MP config?).

Hi Aaron,
This is wierd. I have been sorting my setup a bit, adding foxtel channels and groups and tvguide downloading etc. Also tried a few new skins. I thought that some remote buttons didn't work with 1 skin so I changed back to blue two wide and they still didn't work. This is not using IR Server Suite for remote input. Anyway the 4 direction buttons and the OK button in the centre don't work but all others seem to be OK. Still playing around I tried to configure TV3 blaster for IR Server Suite and I got access to ports 1 & 2 and it all appears to work OK. (blaster flashes but I haven't got it near the foxtel box at this stage). I realise I could use IR Server Suite for input from my remote but as it worked OK I didn't want to bother setting it all up. By the way, if you are doing a road trip to Sydney you're welcome to use Canberra as a base.

Is the update likely to fix the problem with channels not changing from within MP with an analog and a DVB card installed as discussed earlier in this thread. I am loath to mess with my working patch to try it (it took too long to get going and the wife will kill me if I stuff it up now).
