Hi Aaron,

1. I did - the translator is running again and the strange double click behavior seems to be gone.
But only with Preview 3. When I install the Preview 4 I get an error message as soon I start the translator...even after reinstall, deleting user settings, reboot.
I realized that the Preview 4 Version auto detect the MCE devices - the Preview 3 don't.
Do you need the MS error report (How can I extract the text - I tried to copy and past the details, but that's not possible).


Anyway I can live with Preview 3, as it works great and I don't want to miss it's features anymore.

Is there anybody else out having the same problem with the installation of Preview 4??

hi there... this is nothing new for the new version, I already had the problem with the preview 3... but I am completely puzzled by this. If I start the computer fresh... all works well.. but If I resume from S3 standby, then I "lose" some of my remote buttons. for example, and most frustratingly, the directional buttons and ok dont work.

can any one shed any light on this?

I have lost the remote a few times after resuming from standby as well.. However, it seems to work quite well now, preview 3 lost it about half of the times, now it has only happened twice (have tried probably about 30 times) Re-running the setup utility fixes the problem, so perhaps one fix could be to make the server re-run always when your computer resumes.

I also suffered from occasional "double clicks" while using preview 3, but i haven't had that problem anymore.

However, i have a small question. What is the most convenient way to get mediaportal to start when tv-power button is pressed (MCE remote)? I tried with tanslator, both using macros and "run application". It does work, but the window doesn't always "focus". Mediaportal opens full screen, but task bar is visible. This happens about every other time, even though i have chosen "force window focus" (or whatever it's called). I know that i can force MP to be always on top, but i don't want to do that.

Hi Aaron,

I wanted to ask if there will be a fix for the bug I mentioned before (duplication of the TCP connections to WinLirc after standby). I just tried preview 5 and the behavior is still the same. Currently I use a small script to restart the Input Service after each standby and it works perfectly. I'm just curious if this issue will be resolved.

nachttier, would it be at all possible to give your script a try?
I have found that (at least sometimes) the remote starts working again (after S3) when I restart the service, by entering the input config.
