Awesome program. It works with my MCE box just find and now I wish I hadn't purchased a more expensive receiver.

In the help file it doesn't tell you exactly where the folder to put ccf files are. Its currently in All users application data. If you point to %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\IR Server it should point to where the folders is on all versions of windows

You MUST put your remote about an inch and a half or closer to the receiver while you learn.

I've been sing another non-successfully learning program to blast previously discovered IR codes it it would respond all over the room but as I said it didn't work. If your remote isn't close enough during learning the indicator light wont illuminate and the code learning will time out.

IRSS is great, I have a couple of issues I hope people can help me with.

1 - I'm trying to set up translator so that system wide commands can be set for media purposes - i.e. play/ pause, stop, FF, REW, volume up/down, mute etc. However, I'm not sure what to map these to in the Translator program. In general these commands 'just work' when using standard media buttons. When using IRSS it stops the generic ability of the remote to control any entertainment software with these generic entertainment commands.

2 - After I close MediaPortal the IRSS stops acting on commands and I have to restart the service for the service to work again. For example, I have tray launcher set to open MediaPortal with the MCE Green Start button. If I close MediaPortal to do some other stuff, the green button won't open MediaPortal until I restart the Input Service.​

I have one issue that I'm working on now and I can't find an answer too. IRServer is too fast! Is there a way I can slow down the button presses either for all buttons or when I press the same button more than once? I have a program thats going to be changing channels via IRblaster.exe and so far it works like a charm but double presses are two quick for the box. So say 11 or 4115 or 223 will no work. I can actually press the button the remote too fast for it to work as well.

I would like to use IR Server Suite to change channels on my STB by blasting IR codes to it. Is it possible for IR Server Suite to replace keystrokes before blasting it? For example, if I enter 101 from the keyboard, I would like it to blast 1, if I enter 102, then it should blast 2 ....

We've been on 1.42 RC1 for awhile, are we going to get a new version anytime soon? has this project stalled?

There is one issue, which i get every now and then: My remotes signals wont be interpreted anymore. This does in my case only affect the start-button of my microsoft mce, which i have configured to start MediaPortal. To fix this, i have to open the input configuration, stop and restart the service, then go into taskmanager and kill the tray launcher (which is not showing up in the tray) and restart it (then it shows up in the tray again). Finally the start button is working correctly again. I have no idea, why this happens... For me it seems to be indeterministic... I am running vista x64 by the way.

I have a thermaltake DH102 with touchscreen lcd, imon manager 6.20 installed.

The device is recognized as hid USB HUMAN INTERFACE

I have installed your ir server 1.4.2 rc1, replaced imon usb dll etc. in plugin folder, and replaced mpcontrol dll in mediaportal plugin folder.
I use last dll posted from you "14/5".
The i've cofigured all, but i can't get remote working and debug tool says "not configured to learn command".

Please help me..

I have exactly the same problem and an DH101 case with the same driver version. If you look at input service.log it says "System.ApplicationException: No iMon devices found!".

Update: the problem is vista, currently IRSS is not able to detect imon raw hid devices under vista, am I right?

He's working on it, but seems like he's have something else to do. No update the last month..

Ok... found a bug... hopefully this will fix the issue....


As for Vista and the "no raw input devices" issue.... I've found some info that MAY be pertinent... I'm working on a resolution...

Btw. I found a solution that works with the case and the remote. BUT not the buttons on the case... Works brilliant But this suite seems better, so waiting for this
