1. You install doing a netxt->next->finish and you have all the buttons already mapped.

2. Same button is used in several ways depending on the menu you are in

3. You can use a MCE remote ( or a Harmony as I'm doing ) with your iMON receiver.

Point 3. is not completly true: if your firmware identify the receiver as a HID device then we still have some issues unfortunately, but I still hope to fix them

iMON software is not needed anymore, only the driver for the VFD/LCD is.

i'm not making a guide, i'm gonna try to make my iMon receiver and display work. Dunno if you got that, i realize now cuz my last post wasn't very clear, lol. But you did add the in the end.

Anyway, i think it could be a great idea, but if you don't want or simply just can't, i won't blame you. But you'll have to answer my stupid questions next week (i guess...)

Vista MCE Remote Control

Hi,

I have a new "Vista MCE Remote Control" (VRC-1100). I cannot make it working with MP.

1. The arrow keys are working fine
2. The volume keys are working fine
3. The mouse is working fine
4. ALL OTHER KEYS ARE NOT WORKING.

My question is:

1. Is it possible to fix it for MP?
2. How? Please send a step by step info.

I tryed to install the server and the MP plugin, but it didn't work (with MCE remote and with HID General remote configuration).


Would appriciate your assistance.

What must i do to use this with my Imon PAD? My Imon Pad is only working as mouse and the rest of the buttons do nothing... :-( Imon FW 0x360101

I've deactivated Imon Utility, IRSS installed - selected IMon Pad in MP Config + IRSS Config.

i have an imon case (Silverstone LC16M) and a Logitech Harmony Remoe 885. But I dont know how to use the IRSS Suite. Maybe you can write a little guide how to install these things? You sad that you dont need the Imon Software, but the drivers. But where can I download only the drivers? And when I configure my Harmony, what Type should I choose? Imon or MCE or something else? plz tell me... :/

Airshark, take a look at my blog, several articles are related to IRSS and iMON.

In short:
Install the iMON software (in order to get the driver for the display installed)
Install MediaPortal
Install IRSS
Configuration of the IRSS is described on my blog.

In the IRSS you should select iMON, in MP Remote, don't select any remote. In the MP Plugin section, on MP IRSS Plugin Configuration, remove the MCE Remote and add the abstract remote model.

Configuration of your Harmony should be set to the device Media Center PC (Media PortalMediaPortal).
