TV-Server Version: 1.0
MediaPortal Version: 1.0
Windows Version: Windows 2003 R2 on server, XP sp3 on client
CPU Type: AMD 64 X2 4400+
HDD: 4 x Western Digital WD5000AAKS, RAID 5 on Adaptec 3805 Raid Controller
Memory: 2 G
Motherboard: Asus M2A-VM HDMI
1. TV Card: Pinnacle Nano stick 73e
1. TV Card Type: USB stick
1. TV Card Driver: 3.11.0.0
2. TV Card: Terratec Cinergy Hybrid XE
2. TV Card Type: USB stick
2. TV Card Driver: 1.0.8.6
Satelite/CableTV Provider: Com-X
Remote: MCE

2 of my DVB-T channels does not work, the tuner finds the channels without any problems – but when I shift to either of the 2 channels the picture “stalls” immediately. I can shift to the other channels without any problems. When using the software that came with the tuner the channels work without any issue. Scheduling a recording gives the same result.

I have tried with 2 different tuner s (Pinnacle Nano stick 73e and Terratec Cinergy Hybrid XE).
The DVB-T signal is coming from my cable provider (Com X), the TV-Server is running on Windows 2003 R2 and the clients are running on XP and Vista.

Any ideas much appreciated.

Can you force it to do it again - and immediately go to the TVserver tv.log file and copy the last 30-40 lines and post it...
I had the same problem...i ended up setting one transponder on one DVB-T card and another transponder on the other.

I have attached my TV-Server logfiles.

If I press the "Preview" button under TV Channels, I can preview the channels.

Sometimes - if I go to a working channel, and then move to the non-working channel it works.
Could it be that I'm just using "crappy" TV cards? (they are both USB).

Have you installed BDAforServer?

Also - your log only lists one tuner:
2009-01-02 16:12:07.484375 [TVService]: Detecting Cards
2009-01-02 16:12:07.546875 [TVService]: Detected DVB-T card:cinergy hybrid xe digital tuner
2009-01-02 16:12:07.937500 [TVService]: Detected analog card:cinergy hybrid xe analog tv tuner

And not your Pinnacle..

But first of everything - you must install BDA for Server....

I only tried 1 tuner at a time - since they acted the same I only attached log files for the Cinergy card.

For the BDA for server - as far as I read that is only for Server 2008 not 2003, or am I mistaken? The files that BDAforServer copies are already present on the 2003 installation.

They are not coded.
But one "funny" thing, 5 of the channels show up as unscrambled (green) while 33 show up as scrambled (red). It is the same when I use the software that came with the TV cards. I have no problems with the unscrambled channels and most of the scrambled. But 2 - 4 channels keep causing problems in MediaPortal.
I have tried both ts and mpeg for time shifting. I have not installed any codec pack on the TV server. And I have installed K-Lite on the client.
I think I will try MP on a fresh installed Win2K3 to see if I can get that running. And if that does not work I will look around after another TV tuner.
