Hi all,

I just upgraded my server/htpc to windows 7, all is fine for me except for tvseries.
It scraped everything just fine but when I try to enter it in MP GUI I can wait forever but nothing happens.
I started looking at my logs and found that tvseries is loading images but the weird thing is the memory usage reported afterwards is exactly the same according to logs.

I thought it might have to do with my onboard geforce 8300 and the limited amount of shared mem (128MB) so I cranked it up to 512MB still the same.
See logs attached

    See logs attached

    MP-TVSeries.log:

    00000012 - 23-1-2010 10:48:10 - Can't connect to http://thetvdb.com/api/<apikey>/mirrors.xml : Unable to connect to the remote server

Looks like thetvdb.com is down again, which can always result in unexpected things.

The MP-TVSeries configuration screen is a better method then, because you have more visual feedback on what is going on.

Now that the site's up again I still have this issue.
    I had to add the following to mediaportal.xml for the latest moving pictures to work;
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-cached-graphics-74973/index2.html#post550017

I rescraped (and rebuild by renaming tvseriesdb) my collection couple times, didn't help much. I think it has to do with above setting in mediaportal.xml
I had this popping up in error.log as well just now trying to access tv series mp gui and waiting 10 minutes.

After clicking on tv series button and waiting the ten minutes the first 9 wide banners showed. Cycling to others froze it up again, definetly something wrong here I think with imagehandling somewhere (dx9 errors?!)

In MP Config all is fine, it scrapes fine, everything displays fine.
On my clien machine the setup on software is pretty similair and works perfectly. The hardware differs quite a lot though (in the disadvantage for the server)

This started happening on a different machine as well for no identefiable reason, same logging behaviour as before (mediaportal.log filled with loading wide banner images, indicating that no memory has been spent loading it, weird). The machine is also on win 7 x64 latest mp svn (08-01-2010)
Memory usage is cranking up like crazy. Not sure what is up.

1.jpg = first access of tvseries, defaulting to wide banner layout the way I like it, did not try any other layouts yet
2.jpg = after loading say 10 minutes I got some banners to show, clicking down to scroll to new once makes it hang again, eating up a lot of memory in the progress.

This is skin independent as it seems, also happens in monochrome, blue3. Running the latest stable of tv series.

Does this only happen on WideBanners & Filmstrip? What about List Layout?

Have you tried removing all your PNG's, setback mediaportal cache setting to default and delete cache?...might have something to do with that setting you changed (but you would be the first to report a problem).

I thought I was able to change layout through mp config but can;t seem to find it atm.
Since changing it through mp gui is not really practical atm... oh right I could try maybe skinsettings xml.

I have deleted the cache, I have removed all my png's and rescraped them. I got it back working on my main htpc (the one that had the problem before, now it's one of the clients) by kinda cheating and replacing a backup installation of mp latest svn. That worked but I can't really do the same for the client.

Also tried reverting the mediaportal xml debug setting but did not change anything.

You can disable layouts in skinsettings.xml, it will then fall back to something it can do.
