Hi,

I'm a happy Mediaportal-user for several years. I upgraded to v1.0 recently and have some remarks. Let's start with the most positive:
The startup-time is very good now compared to my previous installations (... - 0.2.3)
The application is getting girlfriend-proof
Mediaportal is the best HTPC-software I've seen so far

General remarks
  • stuttering TV-playback after some minutes
--> video/audio out of sync IF TIMESHIFTING NOT ACTIVE
  • stuttering radio-playback after some minutes
--> possibility for TIMESHIFTING on RADIO might solve this (?)

New problems specific to v1.0
  • NOTIFY-plugin doesn't work anymore
  • navigation through current TV-program not working (properly)
--> in previous versions you could easily 'rewind' the current TV-program (if TIMESHIFTING on) in steps (-15, -30, ...). In v1.0 at least I don't see the steps anymore.

Regards,
Berndyman.

If you are using the TV Server, the Notify section is within the TV Client section of Mediaportal Configuration. I have not had a chance to update the manuals yet (Still playing with new toys Santa got me:D).

The Notify plugin within the Plugin section is only for the Inbuilt TV Engine and not TV Server. this can be disabled if you have the TV Server option installed.

    Hi eteesdad,

    I didn't change anything in config/general/skip steps...

If I watch a recording, the look and feel of the skip steps is like in previous versions of mediaportal. Only when watching live TV the look and feel is different and I don't see the skip steps at all...

    Regards,
    Bernd.

I have a standalone installation so without TV Server. The notify-plugin is enabled in the configuration, but I cannot select it in mediaportal itself (there it is disabled)

    Regards,
    Bernd.
