Hello

Sorry, but I could not find any thread regarding my problem, so please help?

I am on the move! Sold the old house to early (or bought a new to late!)!! I am now, for 1 1/2 months, living with my family at my parents house. Our new house is not ready yet!

The problem is that my HTPC with MP (0.2.2.0) is no longer connected to the internet, but I do need to download EPG!
I am using WebEPG and my question is how do I download EPG to my HTPC using my friends computer at his house?

The only easy way i can think of doing this, is to copy your whole team-mediaportal folder onto his computer (this will take all your settings over without the need to install MP) at exactly the same\installation route ie c\program files, and then create a desktop shortcut of WebEPG.exe and the xmltv folder (you could set up a desktop shortcut for your own xmltv folder on your pc just to be able to drag and drop from a memory stick\cd).

Run WebEPG.exe which should create your new tvguide.xml file in the xmltv folder, which you can transfer to your pc at the same location.

Once the tvguide.xml is in place you can start MP which will update EPG

Not worth the hassle trying to be specific about WebEPG folders\files etc that may be needed just to run WebEPG, that why i suggest copy the whole teammediaportal folder.

Delete the Team-mediaportal folder from his HDD when you have finished using it for your updates and it's like you were never there.

Good Luck on any future house move.

If you want to copy less, you can find the files needed by WebEPG in the wiki.

Once everything is running on your friends PC, you will need to copy tvguide.xml in the XMLTV/ directory from your friends PC onto your HTPC.

It is working in a way

Please provide a log file so I can see what the problem is.

    Sorry

After copying and trying to run WebEPG, it was not created any log-file!
So I just installed MP on the computer, copied my MP and ran the webEPG.exe. No errors.
