Firstly, you need to use the second test binary that I posted in order for your tuner to be correctly recognised as a KNC tuner. That is a bug in TV Server that will have to be fixed. Regarding the scanning and viewing issue: according to the earlier scanning tests, it should have been possible to scan and tune the channels. I can't explain the ongoing problem. It might be helpful for me to have access to the TV Server now, however you could continue to test if you want. Basically you need to find the modulation that will allow you to view the channels by editing the channel tuning details. I suggest that you start by trying QPSK2. If that doesn't work then try QPSK, undefined, and not set...

I can give you access to the machine. just let me know how (and when) you want to do it.

I did use the second testbinary you sent me.

    Hey there!
Are there any news concerning the KNC ONE - Bug?
I have exactly the same problems... SKY HD programs are not found while scanning for (new) Astra 19,2°E channels...
...with my "old" KNC TV-Card (also DVB-S2, but only single) there haven´t been any problems.

When I scan for channels with the KNC-delivered Software "Globe TV 2011" I am able to find all SKY HD - channels, seems to me it is still a MePo-Bug?

Hopefully somebody can help, I am short before 'trashing' the TV-Card...

Remark: When I use my "old" scan / station-list including SKY HD and which was working good with the KNC1-single card i get "no signal"... the SKY SD stations are working...

    Hi Ballermann

The Twin is not yet recognised as a KNC tuner (issue still to be fixed as part of a much bigger job that I'm working on). However as explained above, you should still be able to scan and tune channels correctly. Please provide an example of a channel or transponder that you are not able to receive and I will give you precise instructions on what you should test.

    Hi MM,
thanks for quick reply! Attached you can find a screenshot of the Details of "Sky Action HD" which was found by the KNC1 single Card and has no signal with the twin, as you can see above...

    SkyActionHD_Details.JPG

    - additionally I made a screenshot of "Sky Action (SD)" which was working, also as to be seen above:

Another "working" channel is Pro7 HD - I also attached two screenies:

If I understood correctly I should be able to solve the problem by editing the details --> Modulation of not working Sky Sction HD to another setting,
like 8PSK to make it work?

    Thanks for your help :)

    Hi again

    thanks for quick reply!
    No problem. :)

The modulation needs to be set correctly here. I think the correct value is "8 PSK". If 8 PSK does not work, please try "QPSK (DVB-S2)" and "8 PSK2 (DVB-S2)".

    - additionally I made a screenshot of "Sky Action (SD)" which was working, also as to be seen above...
These SD channels are DVB-S; the HD channels are DVB-S2. This is the difference.

Another "working" channel is Pro7 HD - I also attached two screenies...
This is a DVB-S2 channel also, but uses 8 PSK. The Sky HD channels are using DVB-S2 QPSK.

If I understood correctly I should be able to solve the problem by editing the details --> Modulation of not working Sky Sction HD to another setting,
like 8PSK to make it work?
Yes, I think the key is to try to find the correct modulation setting... and maybe also inner FEC rate.

Thanks a lot - I will try this and will let you know...

...but what just came into my mind: what about future scans of channels / transponders?
Do the details of non-found stations have to be adjusted always manually?

If you can find what the value should be then we can fix the problem in the next release of MP - should be an easy fix. Otherwise you would have to continue scanning those DVB-S2 QPSK transponders manually, and we don't want that.

    So... here we go :)
I changed the details for the (previously <--! :) ) non-working channels (there are a few more not working, for testing I just changed for following):
    Sky Action HD
    Sky Hits HD
    Sky Cinema HD
    Sky Atlantic HD

Modulation has been "not Defined" before, I changed it to "QPSK2 (DVB-S2)"--> it´s working! :D (as to see on picture below)

What would be the (best) way / the procedure to scan all transponders with the "correct" modulation?
With actual Scan-settings I am not able to find any of those SKY HD stations.
