Codecs LAV .48 black flickering (1 Viewer)

I made the iGPU change - no difference. I did shift 1 and it says MS DTV-DVD. Where can i get the filter tweaker?

You should be able to choose the default decoder for the various formats with that (not certain about VC-1 as I don't use it).

ok, found the filter tweaker. it only will let me switch from Microsoft to ffdshow (DXVA). I'm running LAV, not ffdshow anymore. Is something wrong? I've attached a screen shot of shift + 1 from a sample vid.

OK, I reinstalled LA .48, and now it's using it properly. Still having flickering though! I've noticed every once in a while my desktop will flash a black screen too. Maybe it's a video driver issue, as some files I can watch for hours with no problems, but higher resolutions seem to cause problems. I'm about ready to wipe and reload windows.

Might be worth trying a different video cable, but it may be that your GPU just can't handle the decoding as well as outputting to a high resolution.

I'll try a different cable, but I know the GeForce 9200 can handle it, and here's why: when i play the exact same videos, they work flawlessly in VLC! Crazy! I would definitely think it's a bad video card or something along those lines except for that.

I have a black screen flash top with nvidia and when changing stream, i need to set an option to set "video fullscreen" and not to auto. You can try my build vc1 to see if it change something

Where would i set that option? The problem is that it keeps flickering throughout.

On my HTPC it was under : adjust desktop color setting.
It was often go back to AUTO (i think it was after connection on remote desktop) and i set it to video fullscreen and no more blackscreen when start/stop/change stream
