Hi all,

I'm not able to get audio off my Lifeview FlyDVB-T tuner card in analog mode. Picture appears fine, but no sound. DVB-T mode works fine. Also, I'm not able to get Teletext and radio working (MP will report that the radio tuner is busy). I've tried the card under Lifeview's program and it is capable of getting sound out of the card in Analog mode. Ditto for Windows Media Center (after a software encoder is deployed).

Any help will be appreciated. I really like MP because it allows me to use both digital and analog together (MCE only allows me to pick digital or analog, but not both).

Have you tried selecting a different audio codec in config for playback, this must be building a graph ok, otherwise you would have no audio\video errors showing, so hopefully it may be something simple.

Also not sure whether this may apply to analogue (got rid of my Duo a while ago), but if you use your info button twice, and you scroll down to audio language is there a choice, this may only apply to TVE3 users, but worth a look.

Yeah, I've tried both ffdshow and cyberlink. Same issues. I believe the log mentioned something about not finding the cyberlink codec if cyberlink is chosen (shouldn't be, I have PowerDVD 6 on the box as well).

Also, I guess I should note that I'm using Default Wave Device for the audio renderer. For some reason I was not able to get DVB sound properly over Default DirectSound Device (sound would play 2 seconds fine, then break up).

I'll go try again tonight, and keep you updated on the result. Thanks.

Well, still a no-go. Wasn't able to get audio out of analogue and radio still fails to work. Even tried the Nero HD decoder (which is evident in the logs).

Also, I've been meaning to ask: Do I need the audio out cable to be connected on the TV card for this to work? Because mine is the newer revision of the card that doesn't have the audio out connectors.

Might be worth your while useing TVE3 in a single seat mode, as you have bda analogue and digital drivers, which should be plug and play, this also more resembles mce2005, where the application, ie MediaPortal itself does not have to be running to record scheduled tv.

As Analogue now records to ts file format would recommend latest version of MP svn, and TVE3 to be installed in that order.

If you really want to stick with MP's inbuilt tv you will need graphedit to check your existing TV softwares graph, and adapt the capturecardsdefinitions.xml to use the correct pins. listed under your tvcards Analogue name.

I'm on to it. I was just toying around with GraphEdit, and I noticed that the audio pin from 713x BDA Analog capture promptly terminates at Smart Tee, with no out. Teletext from WST codec also promptly terminates at Sample Grabber. I'm to look up how Lifeview's software does it and post back here with the results.


Edit: Ok, I wasn't able to get anything out of Lifeview's software (probably not using DX9). But Virtualdub (which does work correctly with the card) provided me with an interesting insight. Instead of using Analog Capture, VirtualDub uses "Capture Device" which maps the Capture in to ffdshow Video Decoder, which maps it to Video Renderer, while audio goes to ffdshow audio decoder and gets mapped to Default Directsound Device. Teletext could probably be coaxed to work by dropping in a Kernel Tee, WST Codec and Sample Grabber before linking to ffdshow Video Decoder's In Text pin (just like the above graph)

Now I just have to figure out how to do that mapping.
