I checked my win xp firewall, deselected it and.......unbelievable.........My TV works much and much better. No memory leak sofar.
Tried to record some tv. Worked sofar but still having sound out of sync and sometimes tv guide freezes.
Have to check further to get the right codecs.
By the way i have Utorrent running and apparently MP tv guide freezes when utorrent is active. Dont know why but when rebooting win xp detects a lot of errors in utorrent...

My XP firewall gives no problem, but running Bitcomet plays havoc with slowing system down with MP running.

Do not believe torrent downloads and MP go together.

Hmmm have the mem leak again when selecting tv guide.

    Gonna freak out.

Tried every mpeg codec but the tv quality is BAD-BAD-BAD.
Maybe its because i have an analog software tv card.
I'm not going to use my tv again.
Even the pinnacle media software works much better with the tv card but it wont play any of my movies or mp3.
So i'm sticking with MP for all my other media because that works very good.

Maybe in V 0.3.0.0 my tv function will be better

I made a new thread in the TV server bug forum. If you post your system specs and put your log files into http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com, you can definitely help us both out :). The more people that can verify the issue, the more likely it will get resolved.

    Hi,
Crush, have you installed this fixes (SP2 hotfix for DVB)?

    Regards
    Roy

    Yep. Makes no difference.

No matter which decoder etc I use, memory is ticking away ~100kb/s. Really strange...

Perhaps the wrong forum for this:
I know this might sound crazy :) but wouldn't using a profiler like ANTS help in tracing the memory leak? I don't know if this is possible, since I don't have much experience in .Net (Delphi/W32 developer). Maybe worth a shot?

EDIT: Ok, I did some testing on the program using a mem profiler, however the increasing mem allocations show up in the unmanaged heap (Win32 etc), in other words, the source is still unkown.

I think I may have found the cause of my problems.
I reinstalled the computer and did some testing with my FireDTV-T. The memory usage appeared to be stable. But, when I plugged the FireDTV-C back in, the error shows up again! Switched back to other one, stable!

So, it's either a faulty FireDTV-C or a bug somewhere.

MyTheatre 3.33.8 using the same A/V decoders seems to be stable with the C.
IMO, that would rule out any FireDTV/BDA driver problems.

Crush: Have you tried to upgrade the FireDTV-C firmware?

    Mr Hipp,

Yes, fw version is 1.2.2. Though, it failed to update one time, but succeded on second try.

I've also tried without the CAM installed. Picture goes black when tuned in but the leak persists.

Any ideas? Would it be worth it to get a "Ground Breaker" to plug into the antenna? The firewire cable feels a little "hot" to the touch. Well, I don't think I'm able narrow this down any further. IMO, it appears to be an application problem (.NET?), rather than a driver problem.

I guess MyTheatre has to do for now, but it's not the same... :(
