Live TV stops serveral times / TVS out of buffer (1 Viewer)

My live TV stops serveral times the evening for 10 to 40 seconds. It seems that it runs out of buffer.
It can't be a DVB-S signal problem. I used the same machine with the old TV engine over a year without problems.

Any ideas?

I added some logs. Can come of the developers take a look into it, plz?

Got a new log.

But now i catched the time it happend.
Again same situation. I watched TV and suddenly TV stops (picture and sound freezes) and continued about 30s later.

TV stopped at 2008-12-22 00:41
Continued normal live TV at 2008-12-22 00:42

I turned of MP to catch the logs at 2008-12-22 00:43.

Plz someone.....

Your broadcaster seems to send a stream that has a jump in the timestamp data. TsWriter should be able to fix those issues, but sounds like it doesnt handle it correctly.

Ambass has been working on that area, but unfortunately he's really busy with work etc. Lets hope that he has some free time to check this issue.

Thx a lot. I am using DVB-S on Astra 19.2° ... and therefor i am sure that i can't be the only one in europe with this problem.

Just see you use ( like me ! ) a Transcend 64 Gb SSD. Sometimes, the SSD stalls and the result is exactly what you see...The "PCR jump" is a false one, it's only due to the lost of data coming from dvb card during the stall.

You can try to add a cache disk like "SuperCache" with delayed write to optimize the SSD. Doing this, disk stalls are rare, but are not totally removed.

More generally, this SSD is slow. It's good for noise..that's all !
I'm also a bit afraid the disk performance decrease with time.....

Are you sure that it is the SSD? Shouldn't there be any errors or warnings in the windows event log?

By the way, do you think another SSD will do better?

I think we should add it to the official documentation that SSDs aren't recommended to be used as timeshifting devices.
