Sporadically, LiveTV freezes for at least 20-30 seconds. Afterwards, either MediaPortal.exe crashes or the picture is still frozen but audio continues.

When looking at the last timeshift file, it can be seen that there is some distortion in it. That means it is rather a TsWriter problem than a TsReader issue.

    Logs attached.

Sample ts file (180 MByte, last 30 seconds are interesting) can be downloaded from:

This is really my biggest issue right now.
Any feedback from a dev would be highly appreciated.

I used the new TsPacketChecker-Tool from gemx.
    Attached are the results.

How can we go further in analyzing this issue?

Seems like there are some issues with pcr holes/patching.
Maybe you want to try the attached version of TsWriter.ax?

    Use it only for testing.
I completely reworked the pcr/pts/dts handling, some it might cause some other issues.
I did only test it for 1 day yet and for me it worked.

    Thanks gemx.

I will try the new filter and report back.

Any plans to integrate your version of this filter into SVN?

    New TsWriter shows a problem

    Hi gemx,

ok here is the first issue:
After some channel switching (last one was from "Bayerischer Rundfunk" to "RTL"), the picture was heavily stuttering, the audio was ok. I stopped LiveTV and opened the last TSfile with VLC. VLC played the video fine but there was no audio. I then checked the TS file with your tool, which printed hundreds of error messages.

    Logs attached.

Please let me know, if you need more info.

    One question:
Your XML export from TsPacketChecker does not contain the analysis results. How can you see what I have seen? :p

Hello. I am very interested in this as well.
I have a problem that the video stops but audio continues, when the broadcast changes AR (aspect ratio) from 4:3 to 16:9 (like when moving to commercials).
I actually have it in a recorded show as well.

I will try to make the time to run the new tool and the new tswriter. Time is not plenty now though...

Thanks for the great work so far anyway! /Niclas

not sure if this is in any relations,

when this happened, (video stops and audio continues) I opened the graph and noticed that video link was broken but the audio was intact.

    Vff

(using last's week svn) and could I test this ts writer with it ?
