Hi I've installed TV server but I don't know where to change my LNB freq for my sky star my LNB is 11300mhz but when I scan for channels it always defualts to 10600mhz (I think this for universal LNB which I don't have)

Is this value hard coded? if so where in the source is stored so I can change and re-complie.

Log snip:

24/11/2006 6:49:15 p.m. ss2: Lnb:Lnb22kHz
24/11/2006 6:49:15 p.m. ss2: Diseqc:None None
24/11/2006 6:49:15 p.m. ss2: LNBFrequency:10600 MHz

Thanks heaps.

Cheers,

Ok well I don't know, but this is how I worked around it, I just modified the .tpl file for optus b1, ie I subtracted 11300 from the transponder freq and then added 10600 to it to get the new compensated freq.

e.g. The transponder I wanted to scan was 12671mhz so 12671 - 11300 = 1371 and 1371 + 10600 = 11971 So I chaanged the line in my tpl file from "12671,V,22500" to 11971,V,22500

This seemed to work and I has able to scan and pick up channels. I wasn't able to watch the the channels. (When I tried to starrt timeshifiting in "manual control" it threw and error (Audio / video not detected") I also noticed that I seemed to think that the cannels it found while scanning were encrypted which they are not.

I going to leave TVEngine for the momonet. not because I can't be bothered getting these littel errors ironed out but because It dosn't seem to have support for receiving channels via S-video in on my hauppauge 150 while using an external .exe channel change command. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong. I've moved back to media portal with latest SVN for now.

Thanks heaps to all for sharing your time and effort and with community. Media Protal is really awesome software.

Cheers,
Rhys

Any news on this??? Frodo??

I also have a LNB that works perfectly in Mediaportal but because I can't specify it's freq of 11300mHz I can't tune any channels in TV Engine 0.3..

Help!!!

Yeah this would be good. I didn't really understand why the dvbs tuning options looked so different between MP and TVserver. Like in TVserver there is no option for "KU band". Just "Universal" (Maybe just my lack of dvbs knowledge)?? In the mean time GagReflex if you want to use TVServer just calcuate the fequencies for your transponders as I mentioned in my 2nd post.

I'm having the same problem. My LNB has a frequency of 10750 and has no problems with MP. If only there was a way to change the frequency in the TV server :)

These are the replacements for the old 11300 LNB that Sky TV used.

I too need to change low, high and switch LNB frequency setting
I need for
sat A => lof1:11250 lof2:11250 lofsw: 12200
sat B => lof1:11250 lof2:11250 lofsw: 12700

How can I do that?

No way to change it at this stage. You can work out the correct frequencies tho if you do the M4TH ;-) as noted in my second post.I guess thi sfeature might be a little while off, I think there are more pressing priorities at hand for TVServer.

I guess for me that work around is pretty simple, here in little old New Zealand I really only have 2 trasnponders to tune into; a total of about 9 channels! ;-) But I guess if you have tuns of transponders it might be a bit more of a pain to create a new .ini file.
