Lock user changes to Database (1 Viewer)

I like to change some details for series so that my TV Series has a particular look and feel. For example, in Series View I like First Aired date to only be the year, so I remove the Month and Day from this field in the database, also Series descriptions on thetvdb.com are of varying length/quality so I abridge them on my local setup to information that I would like to see in MediaPortal.

With the plugin now updating MetaData every import, these changes keep getting overriden. Would it be possible to lock user changes to the database?

Anything is possible, add an enhancement request to the issue tracker

I hate this new behaviour. Why even allow people to manually change the database if an update is just going to wipe it out. Very annoying.
