EddieGlitter: Did you find the sollution for mapping the ESC button, I'm having the exatly same problem and I'ts driving me crazy :(

    Hi,
I'm using a Logitech 525 and I mapped the "Exit" button of the remote to the "Esc" button of the MediaPortal device. Be sure to define a device "Media Portal" in the Logitech.

    Regards,

    Peter

    Hi

I trying to configure my Harmony 525 to be used with MP.
In the logitech software I have now configured a device "MediaPortal" (komponent Media Portal), instead of my mediacenter-PC.
And in Mediaportal configuration it is set to use Microsoft MCE remote control.

It partly works, but when I use my activity to start the whole think, MCE starts also.

    Any suggestions?

I solved it by doing the following:
    1. Take ownership of c:\windows\ehome\ehtray.exe [google if you don't know how]
    2. Renaming ehtray.exe to ehtray.old

That's all there is to it. MCE will no longer pop up.

    Regards,

    Peter

The good news is that it's now working again! I did have to do a full re-install of Windows though. Weird lol

Very weird but always nice to have a clean install.
I will wipe my system clean once MP 1.1.0 RC is out for grab.

what about the other pop up context menu - which button on the 525 is that mapped to? Didn't realise that MP was on the Logitech software!

Not sure about the 525 but the "i" button on the MCE is mapped to the "info" button on my 555. When watching a video pressing this brings up the context menu. And depending on the skin, pressing again will bring up a 2nd menu. Is this what you mean?

MP is not in the Logitech software. But MCE remote is. This is what you should use.

    Hope this helps

What kind of configuration settings do you mean?
I only mapped the buttons in the "activity" I have set up for MCE in the Logitech software and then installed IR Server Suit and selected MCE as remote in the MP configuration. All buttons works as expected after that.
If you have any personal preferences for buttons I would suggest you edit the configuration file in IR-server suit for that purpose.

Hi, I final contacted Logitech support via phone. Cost of a local call. They can check and re-map the remote on-line. Great service. It's now working as it should. One remote instead of six. Happy wife = happy life. Rock on - Eddie
