Hi--
I have to revisit an old issue, unfortunately. I just downloaded MP 2.5, a fresh installation, on a new computer (reluctantly, because Windows 10 obsolescence nonsense). There is no "Flat-local" option under "Channel logo style" in TV settings. I need it. This something I struggled to have fixed about a year ago (see sticky thread MP2 TV Logo Management). An MP developer sent me a kind of preview 2.5 version that had the "Flat-local" option in a private link, but that link is now longer live. Later, I updated to 2.5, and the option was conserved.

Can anyone tell me what's going on? Is there no "Flat-local" option in present MP 2.5? Again, this is important for my over-the-air use here in New York City, where there are many local-only stations. Thanks, N.

Development of MP2 has come to a stop. See this post for the current status of the MP2 project.
So I regret to say that the capability that you would like will not be made available in the foreseeable future.

I understand, but I don't think I was asking for development, but rather the reinstatement of something that worked well. Might be as simple as pointing me to an older version. Perhaps I can figure out a workaround, but it's disappointing.

Did you not retain the MP2 installer for the version that had support for the flat-local option?
Simply run that installer on your new system.

If the version of MP2 that you downloaded recently from the MP web site does not have that option, there are no other installers available (at least, none that I am aware of).

This post has instructions to create Flat-local. There's also a patch two posts later, I don't know if that's still needed.

Auto-updating TV Logos

Happy new year to all MP people! Is there a way to turn off the new auto-update of logos? I have all my own logos, all up to date and just how i want them, but every couple of weeks MP decides to overwrite them all, and it takes many attempts to replace them again as it just keeps downloading...

Ok, thanks much. I will look into the instructions above. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos. Works, so far.
