yep, just tried the uploaded www_imdb_com.xml, the A&E channels is the problem. When I opened the grabber file with Firefox, it shows the following error. The grabber files are raw XML files and you need to follow XML file format rules that are not obvious to "normal" people. I just manually mapped 1 channel, did a grab/save to tvguide.xml file and see expected EPG data. When you edit/save the www_imdb_com.xml file, you should open the file with a web browser, firefox/chrome for a sanity check. If the browser shows errors the file will not work with WebEPG

    Code:
    FireFox error message
    <Channel id="A&E" siteId="AETV" />
    ----------------^

chrome shows the following, not as easy for finding problem
This page contains the following errors:
error on line 50 at column 16: EntityRef: expecting ';'

    www_imdb_com_.xml or
    www_imdb_com.xml
As far as I know it doesn't actually matter.
    The original file is "www_imdb_com.xml".

and it stops on this only doing 8 channels
Andre, I don't know what "this" is... and which 8 channels are you referring to?
Please - when you ask for help, try to be more specific.

I think it was the & messing me up...
It was, as both RonD and I confirmed.
    & = ampersand

cause now it maps all the channels i put in but it still only grabs 8 channels
As I said in my previous instructions: check the grabber status report section (!).
Your screenshot shows that the grab status is "writing channel WRAL_HD". In other words, it looks like the grabber is not finished grabbing.

If you are continuing to have problems, please tell us which 8 channels you're talking about and post your www_imdb_com.xml file.

Do I also need to replace my "_" and spaces " "
    No.
As RonD (and the wiki) explain, you can check the format of the XML file for problems (which includes checks for non-permitted characters like &) by opening the file in firefox or internet explorer. If you had done that you would see that there are no problems with _ (underscore) and space.

not sure where things stand on this problem. I used the uploaded www_imdb_com.xml file, manually mapped 2 grabber channels to 2 on my local channels and did a grab. Both "A&E" with the "&amp;" fix and "Comedy Central" worked when I tried them and saved data in a tvguide.xml file.

The key log files for the manual WebEPG testing are in the following folder, for testing do the following
    c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log

exit TV server config, delete SetupTv.log and SetupTv-Error.log
start TV server config, goto WebEPG double check you see the expected mapping
do a manual "save" and "grab now", wait till you see "Finished grabbing"
exit TV server config, put all the log files in a zipfile, upload
give the names of 2 channels that "work" and 2 channels that "don't work" and I'll take a look

No log files => no idea.
...and as I've told you already, I'm almost 100% sure the replacing of the files is not what is getting MP to redetect the tuner.

Post TV Server log files if you want help with this problem!

and this epg thing is not working
Andre, please read the advice you've been given! In particular:

As I said in my previous instructions: check the grabber status report section (!).
Your screenshot shows that the grab status is "writing channel WRAL_HD". In other words, it looks like the grabber is not finished grabbing.
If you are continuing to have problems, please tell us which 8 channels you're talking about and post your www_imdb_com.xml file.

    Which 8 channels?
Where is the www_imdb_com.xml file that I asked for?

If you read my post you'll see I clearly asked you to post the log files and the www_imdb_com file. It is really frustrating to say the same things over and over again.

Do you want a log file on every post or just when you ask
No, not on every post. Just when you're asking for help. I'm not a mind reader or a magician so I'm simply not able to determine what is wrong without the details... and by details I mean dates/times, channel names, log files, and any other information that might be relevant. The more information you can provide, the better I'm able to help you.

    About the EPG grabbing problems...
I've copied your www_imdb_com file into my own configuration and linked some of the guide channels to my own channels. I have everything working properly - EPG is downloaded for the channels I map (including WTVD), the info shows in the guide... zero problems.

So, there is clearly nothing wrong with your www_imdb_com file.

I suggest you check that you've carefully followed instructions 16 to 22 here:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...to-get-tv-channels.126690/page-5#post-1098227

Without the log files that's the best that I can do to help you.
