As i told you it works with Haali !!!

    Look at the screenshots.

If it is really a Mpeg2, why are H264 codecs choosen?
If i remove all H264 codecs no videos dsfilter is found when rendering the graph.

I would say that it has to been an issue with the splitter.

Check the video output pin media type on haali splitter, it should say MPEG2.

Most likely it is, but unfortunately I havent played that much with TsReader and HD content as I have no provider that is sending HD so it is not that mandatory for me.

But all in all its only incompatibility between MPC and TsReader as Cyberlink's decoder works ok.

You are right that the Mediatype out is Mpeg2...

Anyhow, do you know someone at MP who can be asked for the TsReader... Maybe there is a chance to fix it .... or to find out that MPC causes the trouble

    Hi,
Finally had some time to dig & the change in TsReader.ax which causes all this IS a bug fix, so it works correct now according to ISO/IEC 14496-2 Visual (MPEG-4) : 0x10 & ISO/IEC 14496-10 Video (MPEG-4 part 10/AVC, aka H.264) : 0x1B (Thx, tourettes for source), which means only codecs which meats the spec(like Cyberlink PDVD) now works with MP (haali fakes output to mpeg2 & therefore it works there).
Guess we need to think a bit about this internal(in the Team) how to proceed further & if "fake" support for other codecs should be added...

    Regards
    Roy

    Thx for your effort :)

I hope you can find a solution because i think that the MPC H264 codec is nice and supports DXVA.... and it is FREE.

    @touretts

I just downloaded two cinematic trailers. Both where created with H264 and AAC.
The graph (with Nero Mp4 splitter) also gave me: FORMAT_MPEG2_VIDEO ... can this be true?

A check with ffmpeg gave me (TRAILER):
    Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Trailer.mp4':
    Duration: 00:01:39.2, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 5870 kb/s
    Stream #0.0(und): Video: h264, yuv420p, 1280x544, 23.98 tb(r)
    Stream #0.1(und): Audio: mpeg4aac, 48000 Hz, stereo

A check with ffmpeg gave me (TIMESHIFT-FILE):
    Input #0, mpegts, from 'live1-0.ts.tsbuffer1.ts':
    Duration: 00:00:09.0, start: 0.085800, bitrate: 10666 kb/s
    Program 137
    Stream #0.0[0x30]: Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1080 [PAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 25.00 tb(r)
    Stream #0.1[0x40](deu): Audio: liba52, 48000 Hz, 5:1, 448 kb/s

What should be the right name for a Mpeg4 Part 10 stream?

    Got a great idea! :D

Since MP already deploys the MPV and MPA Gabest codecs... why not use the most recent version of these codecs from MPC project and ALSO the MPC H264 codec.

MP would then be nearly "Codec complete" ... with DxVA support for H264 videos or streams

    What do you think?

This idea was just discussed internally ;)

    Given the problems with tsreader
MPCVideoDec won't be added for now.
