I have been trying to duplicate some of the issues and have not been able to.
I started TV, switched to a few channels, Started a movie (while TV was running), then went back to live TV and switched channels.
    All worked.
Is it possible the issue you are looking for has to do with Dual or multiple TV tuners?
My system is a single tuner.

I also have not tested with OV. I see there is a new one in post #1 but there is no installer.
Can I just copy it someplace?

    @breese
I have been away for a while so maybe i am totally wrong but i think currently the major issues with this build are present with NVidia cards and some minor issues with Intel iGPU.

Seeing that u own AMD 5450 i wouldn't expect u to detect any major issues with that one:)

Not sure regarding OV since i am not using it myself.

If ur system specs are accurate then u cannot test true 3D cause it will not work on windows 7, for that u will need 8.1 or higher. Under windows 7 true 3D movies will play as SBS 3D.

@breese You must install the std version of OV first, get that from The Media Portal Extension Manager, (the icon should be on your desktop) also the MP IPTV Filter and URL Splitter.
Then download the OV zip from page 1, it contains an installer and Folders/files. You need to run the .mpe1 installer (which will automatically uninstall the std version and install the madvr version) but that is not it quite yet you then need to copy the 2 files under the Windows Folder in the zip to the same place in Program Files (x86)Team Media Portal/Media Portal/plugins/windows and also replace the Online Videos folder with the one from the downloaded zip.
Be interested to see how you get on with it, I haven't tried v183 but with v181 MP crashed every time on stop.

Every OV video I start I get this error

The reason for having a modified version of OV is because the std. version does not work with this test version of MP which supports Madvr, as you have discovered .;)

I have it all installed and have been watching OV / U-Tube videos.
Only had one issue and that was on first startup. I started a U-tube video and the screen when BLACK.
I had to force a log off to get out of it... ctrl-alt-del / task manager and the task manager screen would just Flash and then OV's black screen took over.

Sense the log off and back on, both with and without using Watchdog, I have not been able to reproduce the issue.

That is the persistent problem I have been having with some versions prior to v181 (v181 also had another problem) and now also with v183. It is intermittent for me but fails worse playing 720x1280 resolution videos.

Just found a protected movie, while it reported "This video contains content from Jukin Media."
After clicking ok, it thru a Stack Trace...
