sup guys, i can reproduce the clunky transparent zap


tried with window toggle and osd or guide on screen. i get a similar result as joe, also that after some additionally zapping the missing zap backround reappears and it was better but somehow clunky
titan on wd.1 it seems ok, not wd2 defhd run and ares was even worse

and the guide is brighter than before...

Yep and it never happen before ? on my side it happen randomly and i wasn't able to fix it

yep, maybe it has already happened before, i usually have no osd open when i change the window when it happened the flickering guide was also present...

the guide bright is new (and i tested at all my htpcs this time^^)

BTW how did you manage to get those screenshots, whenever I try with something playing I just get a black picture.

If you use 'Use Direct3D 11' or 'Use separate device for presentation (Vista and newer)' it will create a special D3D device and we can't get the surface from it.
@madshi need to implemente something to provide use this D3D and it will work after that but for now it doesn't lol

Are you sure the bright is not skin related ?
When testing different skin, i can see some difference and maybe it's your case too ?

yep. good point[emoji4] it seems defHD skin related. on ares it wasn't so bright

Do you have a date, if the Mediaportal 1.16 is final?

The color/brightness change is related to madvr itself. Madvr uses a different gama curve and since MP OSD is injected into madvr when it is used the MP menus will change color and brightness aswell. It is normal and nothing to worry about.

The OSD transparent background certainly never happened to me with v264 or any recent versions tested but I do have a feeling that way back there was the same or similar.

There have been several versions where I would describe zapping as clunky but for me v267 seems to be particularly bad and I think something different to the transparent OSD.
Description follows again as it is very different to anything I have seen before:-

1)- On selecting the new channel it starts playing both audio and video almost immediately, for maybe 1/2 a second (sometimes a bit longer)
2)- Video freezes for maybe 2 seconds (typical but again variable). Audio still playing.
3)- Video shrinks down to maybe 1/4 fullscreen in the middle of the display (MP still in fullscreen mode I think, with black background not desktop). Audio still playing.
4)- Video jumps to fullscreen and plays in sync with audio.

That's not just clunky its clunkity clunk.
