Just recognized another issue again... pause is no more working for me at least not all the time

I can reproduce this when the video is slow somehow ! i remember changed a fix added a while back to solve a regression (crash) but put back this issue, i will try to see if i can fix it again in a better way but no promise lol

I would like to understand what this version does before testing it (given that v 268 is, for me, very stable and Christmas will be soon upon us). I am now running XYsubFilter, I get its icon on the taskbar, but see no difference when subs are displayed, it does not seem to respond to any setting changes I make (e.g. font), is it actually doing anything?. Also what should auto3D do, I don't want to loose 3D frame packed playback capability or convert to SBS.

I checked it yesterday ... for me framepacked 3D is still working with Auto3D installed So it does not break for me... nevertheless Auto3D seems to be buggy somehow:

• cant get it to work with webos (LG TV, paring attemp crashes the plugin, posted that in the Auto3D thread)
• mp crashed (blackscreen) once while switching the GUI (next time it was working)
• autodetection does not seem to work well

Other issues i have with the latest version:

• GUI flickering (random)
• Pause not working (random)
• framepacked 3D not recognized (1/4 of the video taking the whole screen/switching from to windowed view and back fixes it)

@joecrow Auto3D should/can switch the MP Gui to a 3D mode when playing SBS 3D for example.. and it should be able to put your TV into 3D mode for these "none" framepacked 3D sources (at least my TV does not do that when using MP/ for youtube it does work).

Ah, are we talking about the Auto3D plugin now named MP3D? Either way I am confused because I can no longer find an Auto3D plugin and the MP3D plugin is not supported by MP 1.15/6. From memory the original Auto3D was aimed at SBS 3D and could switch a TV to 3D mode via ethernet (I never managed to get that piece working). With Madvr and its ability to play Frame Packed 3D with the TV switching automatically why are we trying to work on an out of date and unsupported plugin?
Or have I completely got the wrong end of the stick?

Hm there is a plugin called MP3D ? I was not not aware... need to check that out.

Auto3D somehow switches the GUI to a 3D (SBS/TAB) compatible mode otherwise the GUI is totally messed up when playing SBS at least to what i experienced.
To the end of the thread there is a testversion that should be compatible with MP 1.16.
So it would make sense to have that updated in my opinion but if there is a newer plugin names MP3D - that might change it

OK thanks for that and don't bother with MP3D last update was for 1.8.
That Auto3D plugin is the one I played with some while ago (more than a year) well before the ability to play frame packed was on the table, strange that a search of the plugin downloads does not find it though. I guess if anyone has a library of SBS 3D vids then it is still interesting and good to see it has been updated. In my case I have re-ripped the few SBS I had to frame packed with the exception of one (life of Pi) which for some bizzare reason does trigger the TV to switch automatically to the correct 3D mode when the others ripped in the same way did not, wierd. I may take another look at it, not for SBS but because I am still looking for a way to switch the TV from 3D to 2D mode via my MP remote and it may just have that possibility.

I think that one day madVR will turn SBS/TAB into framepacked (I think he's said it's possible) and hence another plugin can go in the bin.

HELP I am in a near empty office and little work to do and someone has put sister act II on the big telly near my head

Might be a bit off topic.. but is there a tool to convert SBS to framepacked? I never thought of this option Would be nice to avoid switching to 3D mode manually...

About XySubFilter, i didn't test font issue can be that something is missing but the way i have see it, the change must be done on MP but not at runtime neither on plugin side, i don't know if directvobsub handle it differently.

About Auto3D, yes like explain @rohne, it's a plugin to manage the OSD GUI to be duplicated when TV/Projector or what ever is in the correct 3D mode (for SBS Top/Bottom etc. mode) and this plugin permit to automatically switch the TV/Projector into the correct mode (from LAN / Serial Connection / UPNP etc.) but not all hardware works in auto mode, so we can change the mode manually on TV/Projector and adapt the mode too from MP (i have CTRL+D combo key to switch the mode and all mode can be configured from MP config).

So this plugin is nice to have when we add rip some 3D movies before the framepacked with LAV and madVR.

Does the plugin works correctly (older version) with your LGTV ?
If you can reproduce the blackscreen -> please logs
about autodetection, that's possible, we can also change the setting to select the mode based on the movie name like : Movie SBS.mkv

About latest version :

Framepacked, maybe auto3D mode and manual (CTRL+D) can force 3D change on TV Projector. But still the 3D stuff is not easy lol.

I have maybe fixed an issue about Video position when switching from 4/3 to 16/9 or reverse TV channel.
Doing some change on pause code (all seems to works on my side).

Just made a quick search and it might be possible to convert SBS to regular 3D using FrimEncoder and tsMuxeR:
