[WiP] madVR support in MP1 (41 Viewers)

Hello,

I just get a black Screen with TV after enabeling madVR, Sound is ok. Just a short Moment after stopping the Picture is visible.

On the first page is a comment

Tsreader (and filter in general) wasn't always replaced, it's seems to be a bug in deploytool, so attached is a good one to replace (otherwise you can get blackscreen)​

but I can't find the files.

What went wrong?

Found a new issue in V268 and up, when Mediaportal is on secondary screen it will report madVR crash (from madVR itself) when playback stops.
This is with:

- Latest madVR v0.91.4
- Refresh rate changer of madVR on, playback start / stop or fullscreen has the same result.

PM'ed the stack trace so you can see the point where it fails, don't recall having this specific error before so might be either due to new madVR version or something in Mediaportal that has changed.
Can press "Continue application" in madVR crash window and Mediaportal will continue to run fine, can start another video and will playback but of course get the same error on stop

Meh looks like yet another NNEDI3 issue, seriously Nvidia needs to get their shit together driver wise

Will check with NGU as well but so far this is an madVR + NNEDI3 issue and no Mediaportal one luckily

i must correct my statement a little bit: The video runs in fullscreen, but the OSD is 1/4 screen. Don't see this in my fast tests . Maybe you can do the trick for OSD also. If you need I could post screenshot and logs later.

Yep i have seen it too once. it will be more difficult to add that change, it's needed to recreateswapchain to have the new OSD resolution.
Yep can you make fresh log and timestamp to waht you are seeing ?

From what i understand, video resolution change under madVR already init and MP OSD stay at the before madVR init, we need to tell madVR that the resolution has change like i have try to do for AUTO3D plugin, need to investigate that

I will remove this hint because it's not the case anymore (you could always look at the time/date of the tsreader.ax just to be sure)

Edit : Btw added V272 link to first post and also seems your logs are incomplete.

Yep no easy, from the callstack seems to be madVR issue along maybe with nvidia but maybe some init code on MP side trigger something odd too (does an older madVR version is the same ?)

I tested MP2.1 but at the moment I think MP1 ist much more stable. So I changed the MP2.1 to MP1.16.
So my question I have, Is MP1.16 the same as MP2.1 (only the plugins included)? Is the video and TV player the same? I will use the MadVR, do you have an instruction, if the videos works with it? I love the MP2.1 skins, can I use it also in MP1.16?

@Sebastiii will check other combinations as with Nvidia at the moment it seems to come and go, wouldn't worry too much as it's probably not Mediaportal related just some module crashing

Logs. Showing OSD in 1/4 is on 14:58. Some seconds before closing mp.

A question from a newbee with MadVR in MP 1.16 Pre.
1) I have problems to disable in the MadVR Control the 3 sec window option while using the exclusive mode
Seems like MP somehow overwrites the config. - at least while using MP the window appears again and the option is re-enabled afterwards
Is there a seperate config for MP?

2) I observe some problems while using MadVR and hitting the Playback Stop button on my remote during playback
With LAV Splitter I return to the MP Menue (e.g Videos or Moving Pictures)
having MadVR enabled I leave completely MP and return to desktop
I am currently trying to narrow it down as the logs give no clue - so I am interested if there is already something known

MP1 and MP2 are a different architecture, so you can't use plugins from MP1 to MP2 or MP2 to MP1
Both MP version is nice MP2 will be the future but MP1 works quite nice
So you need to try it by yourself and decide
