Thanks for the replies, will try this with the test tool and report. Will the genre colours make a return? OK, what I did and the result I launched TVServer configuration in the background and activated the Manual Control section, so I could see what the server was doing. Launched the MPTestTool and clicked 'Perform actions before test', the clicked launch MP. MP started in windowed mode so I could see what the TVServer was doing in the background. I selected ITV3 and told MP to record, no problem and can see that happening in the TVServer in the background. Then I selected to view BBC1 (different mux) and was told no free card. Fine. Then I selected ITV2 (same mux) and MP froze. In the background I could see that ITV3 was recording and ITV2 was timeshifting so all should be OK, right? I brought the TVServer window to the front and then clicked MP to bring it back to the front, and the TVServer window remained drawn over MP. I chose exit from the MP windows and waited for ages, lots of HDD activity before MPTestTool finally spat out its file. TVServer is still recording ITV3 The file generated is 25Mb in size, is that massive or is it just me? The file 'tvserver_TSWriter.log' would be 462Mb in its unpacked state! Are files generated by MPTestTool usually that large? Surely you don't want me to upload that? As per my original post, it would be nice if the EPG would make channels unavailabe for selection (rather than saying no card when selected). BTW SciDoctor, how are you pulling up TV Channels? ('If I choose TV channels then the list shows the available and unavailable listed as per MUX/frequency.') What should I do next?
