I'm not sure this is a real bug but I post it... Since RC3 I'm not able to standby PC via remote anymore. I mapped the standby function to a button of my remote, I can hear gui sound when I presso it but the PC does not standby.

I have RC3 + TVE3 but I think this thing is related to Mediaportal not tve3 because I mapped the standby function to a remote key in configuration.exe.

I will try to get logs as soon as I can.

    Hi,
Actually there are some code in TVE3 that prevent manual standby/hibernate, so probably thats the reason & not "old" MP.

the tvservice will prevent standby/hibernate if it is busy atm.

    What I do is:

    - Turn off TV
    - Go back to home menu
    - Press my "sleep" remote button which I mapped to suspend function in mediaportal remote configuration (firedtv remote).

This worked before RC3 of mediaportal (and corresponding SVN of TVServer.

So I think is a mediaportal problem not tvserver (tvserver is not busy because I turn off TV, right?).

Plase make sure that TVE3 isn't grabbing the EPG as it would prevent the standby also.
or recording something. and check the mapping of your remote please.

the power button on my MCE remote works like a charm with RC3 (TV-Server not installed on this PC) :)

OK so the tvserver must be grabbing EPG, that's why suspend does not work I guess... I will try to increase the interval of EPG updating and will let you know the results.

I think that mediaportal should tell tvserver to stop grabbing the EPG when manual suspend through it is invoked.

    Thanks
