im having this issue as well when watching dvd rips. i cant change the file name of the.vob file otherwise it wont work. Anyone got a workaround for this? My file structures are like this example:

T:\TV Series\Red Dwarf\Series 2\Episode 2 - Better Than Life\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB

Personally i've structured all my media like this:

T:\TV Series\Red Dwarf\Series 2\Red Dwarf S02 E02 - don't know if this will help in your case.

maybe it would help if i added my own parsing expression structure?

I'm sure it would, but I can't offer any help there as i don't "use" the parsing myself.

All of my problems to date have been resolved by renaming the files like in the example i gave to you earlier.

However i'm about to do some serious DVD ripping and it is something i'll need to get my head around.

Hi again matey, i tried structuring some of my series the same as you did ^^^ but it still seemed to be causing problems with deleting the video file address.

as an example, one of my episodes had the address:

T:\TV Series\The Office\Series 2\The Office S02 E01\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB

which version of TVseries are you using out of interest?

no mine arent either, i just rip the individual .vob files for each episode, but theyre disappearing no matter what file address structure i use. so far ive tried..

................Series 2\The Office S02 E01\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB
................Series 2\S02 E01\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB
................Series 2\S02E01\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB
................Series 2\2x1\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB
................Series 2\2x1: *Episode Name*\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB

but none of them work

by the way, if youre having the same problem, dont forget to star the issue here where ive raised it as a defect with the plugin author. hopefully if enough people tag it, it will get sorted.

:D

workaround

EDIT: For anyone having this problem, ive come up with a workaround until the issue gets fixed. ive created a command file that copies a backup copy of my tvseries database (currently saved on my desktop) into the MP database folder everytime i turn my computer on. This way, the database is refreshed every time i boot up.

ive attached the command file as a .txt below, so you can go in and change the addresses to however you want them. once youve done this save it as .cmd, then go into

accessories->system tools->scheduled tasks ->add scheduled task

and then set up a task for your OS to run the .cmd file whenever you want (you can tell it to run it daily, weekly etc, or when you turn your computer on).

its not perfect but it will save you having to reload your tvseries.db3 everytime you want to rewatch an episode thats been deleted. :)
