Hi there,

search doesn't help me.

I have some Michael Jordan Videos for which i want to manually writze the movie details like plot actors and so on.

I can't find the syntax for my nfo files. Is it not possible to write the single parts in the nfo file, something like that

[title]Michael Jordan
[length]53 Minutes
[plot]A great BBAll Player named...

and so on.

Moving pictures fins some of them but i want my own plot etc.

Thanks
Henric

Just put the IMDB # from the URL in a .nfo file and thats all.

For example this is for Michael Jordan to the Max

    Code:
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0245280/

All you need is the "tt0245280" but you can put the whole link in there if you want it will find the #.

    AW: manually write nfo files

As of right now having the info file(with the at least the IMDB address) and your artwork you could greatly reduce the time it takes to do a complete import, and once MP 0.8 comes out we should be able to pull your custom information(title/sort title/user score) from the info file as well on an import.

Scraper scripts can now be written to import data from a text file in the file system.

In Moving Pictures 1.0 there is a XBMC NFO file scraper script which is seperate from the functionality that just grabs an IMDb ID from an NFO file for preprocessing. This script is really meant to be used for importing data from an XBMC setup, but you could easily create your own NFO files and Moving Pictures would populate full movie details based on this. The specification for the format is available on the XBMC wiki. The XBMC script is enabled by default but I don't think it's the first script in the list so you will want to manually manage your scripts and make it the first in the list.

For what its worth it is also possible to manually add a movie to your collection without tieing it to any specific movie data (one of the toolbar buttons in the importer). Then you could manually update the movie details in the Movie Manager. This would eliminate the need to transcribe your movie details to XML.
