For what are the 1366x768 xml files? Can I copy them into the MCE Folder and have then a 1366x768 skin?

What i've done is change a couple of the xml files to expand the skin to 1366x768. It's not a full reskin, i only spent about a half an hour making changes. Make a new directory in your skin folder and copy the media files from mce1280x720 into it. Then download the file below and extract the files into the new skin directory. This should give you an idea of what images would need to be changed. Among other things, a lot of the buttons will look distorted and should be changed, and there will be a decent amount of empty spaces that can use larger graphics to cover them up.

So yeah, it is a 1366x768 but it is nowhere near finished/complete and someone will have to go through and fix images and sizes and etc.

Sorry, i don't have the time to do graphics and maintain another skin. I'd be happy to help anybody who wants to use my stuff for other widescreen skins tho.

Updated skin uploaded to server (link in first post also updated). Some of the fixes:
Removed the multiple "X Objects" in some of the TV screens
Fixed the formatting of the checklist controls
Fixed alignment in the MyStatus preferences page

The download size is now ~2.8MB. The files in the fonts directory are not part of the archive, these will be generated automatically by mp. Please post any further comments/errors to this thread. When I've worked out most of the bugs, i will post the skin to the team-mediaportal site for download. In the next week or two, I'll start working on version compatible with cvs versions. Please note, this version will have some issues with the main screen of the MyTV and in MyMusic.

I have it only with a newer CVS version. With the 0.2.0.0RC2 its ok!

KRA, if you are using a cvs version, that's probably incompatibilty with myTV that i was referring to in the above post. The Groups button went from being a spin control to a button that opens a dialog box to pick the group, similar to the buttons in myMusic and myNews.

It seems like many, if not most people who use the skin also regularly update with the cvs. I will try to get a version out over the weekend, unfortunatly real life gets in the way sometimes.
