Hi Boilermaker, one of my network shares has .asx and .avi files that contain russian parts or whole name is in russian (Пришельцы.avi or СЕЙЧАС В РОССИИ.asf, ИДИОТ (ТВ-СЕРИАЛ).asx) . Those are examples you can use -copy/paste to your file system. I use pure US-eng windows, eng mediaportal.
When I go to MyVideos using BlueTwo I can see those names just fine, MCE skin only displays latin based file names and I only see blank rows for non-latin file names, I can attach screen shots if you want.

Ok, try this...replace the contents of your entire fonts.xml file with the following code:

I was able to see a file named Пришельцы.avi in my movies folder after i made this change. Let me know if it's working for you.

it did not, but I know why, I am using 0.2.1.0 and your latest updated mce16/9, you've tested on svn build, right?

no, its for .2.1.0. One thing i can can think of, did you erase all the files in the skin's fonts folder (in the ../Mediaportal/skin/mce1280x720/fonts directory, not the windows fonts directory) after you made the change?

btw, the change that was made was to add the lines;
<start>0</start>
<end>1536</end>
to each fonts control group in the fonts file. I did not add them to the larger fonts because it started to screw up the spacing of the big headings. For example, the big "My Videos" in the top left corner of the screen my videos screens would look more like "M y V i d e o s".

All i did is copied your code over to fonts.xml file in skin's directory and after I failed to load this skin. can I copy something from Bluetwo skin because it works perfectly fine?

yes you have to, or mp will continue to use the fonts generated with the previous fonts.xml; the ones that weren't capable of displaying the characters you need.

you could, but you would still have to erase every file in the fonts.xml anyway. Again, mp will not do anything with a changed fonts.xml unless the fonts folder is emptied out. Using the fonts.xml file from bluetwo will also cause alignment errors since the fonts aren't really the same.

I have another minor suggestion, in my radio when I click on entry which is .asx file stored locally playback starts in left lower corner, but there is no way to go to full screen, focus doesnt go on this square, I know it doesnt make much sense if you do play real radio , but my radio channels are essentially internet TV streams. doubleclick would do but i use TV and remote... with no mouse.

fixed...it will be part of the next release. I may put out one more version in a week or so before the final release at the end of the month. I'm still working on a skinning a couple of plugins, and one more possible configuration option. If there's time before the end of the month, i would like to include better images for the home screens.

Hi, first of all thanks for the great skin, it's superb and the support for so many plugins out of the box is awesome.

I have a few suggestions/questions/bugs? for you, I'm using 0.2.1.0, never installed any svn:

- In the playing now music screen, the left part of the screen (about 1/3) is empty and not used. Is there a visualization that is supposed to be shown there in the future? Or it's just meant to be empty? It doesn't look neat

- In the file explorer plugin, the navigation is really weird (i use a remote). The menu left and menu right are displayed above each other but you need to press left/right to switch between them. I think this is because you changed the original layout where menu left was displayed above the left tree, and menu right above the right tree. Also the contextual menu cannot loop... if you are on the 1st item, you cannot press up to directly cycle to the last one, instead your selection just disappears. And again, 1/3 of the screen is unused.

- In general, when browsing in LIST mode. The folder/file icons are not displayed. It makes it harder to differentiate between folders and files. And you lose the ability to see the album cover as a folder icon.

- When playing a song, the cover is displayed in the bottom left corner as it is supposed to... but I can also see just under the cover, in the same frame, those mediaplayer 7/classic-like controls (play/pause,next, etc buttons) and the black statusbar with the song name. I don't have this with the blue two skin.

Those are my remarks, none of those will stop me from using your skin which is the best!
