A strange thing happen tho with the latest svn. When i open MP i get a message that it cannot find myHome.xml file.

It a change in the svn, home.xml has been replaced by myHome.xml and myHomePlugins.xml. I haven't even started adapting this skin for the svn, i wanted to finish with .2.1.0 first. I adapted some the mceafo variation as an experiment, you can download that skin and get the missing files from it.

There will be other problems with using the (or any) .2.1.0 version with the svn. There are no files for the new TV server. Animations, which aren't included in the regular version have replaced the flyinfrom tags. That's just what i can think of off the top of my head, there are probably other incompatibilities.

try this link. The server is a bit slow at times, altho i haven't had any problems tonight. I'd really prefer not to upload the skin to the repository. If there is still a problem tomorrow, i'll see if i can get somebody else to post it temporarily.

The links weren't working because i put in extra space in the file name. All the links should be working now.

Boilermaker on the TVSeries.xml file can you please explain me how you get the date and time to show on the top left corner? I am trying to adjust that on the B2 wide skin as well and i cant find on you xml file where you have those.

I'd have to look at the b2 wide skin, but in this skin you would have to change it in common.window.default.xml. The problem with changing it is that will effect the entire skin because that file is imported into almost every other xml file. The same probably goes for b2 wide, the date/time are probably part of a common file (either common.window.xml or datetime.xml or something like that).

I've uploaded a test installer for the skin. For the link, check the first post of this thread. Please back up your skin installation before using the installer. It will delete/overwrite any previously existing mce1280x720 or mceafo skin files.

I've also listed the supported plugins in the first post. Some of the plugins that have been removed because for now they do not work work/are not supported in mp .2.1.0:

PVR Scheduler has been included but the skin file updated in months. If there is anybody using it, please let me know if there is a problem.

If there are any additional plugins that you would like skinned, please let me know by the end of the month. At that point i will start working on the svn version of the skin.

The installer killed my MP 0.2.1.0 installation. Now I can only see a transparent window when starting MP. Even deleting the skin directory and choosing B2 skin in config won't bring it back to life :-(

Found the problem: The window overlay plugin is the one to blame. I deactivated it and now the skins are working fine again.

Btw, why did you use such a small font in EPG? I use a SDTV 16:9 1024x576 and couldn't barely read it. I raised the size by 3 point and now they seem almost perfect. They fit the height of the rows quite well and can be read from several meters. Maybe you could think about using bigger fonts. ;-)

I also noticed that the space for channel names seems to be very small. Almost all names fade out because they won't fit the field. Could you make it a little bit larger?

Flat panels have little to none overscan, but this is not the case with SDTV. The channel names in TV OSD are cut of on the left because they are very near to the edge. Could you move it a little bit to the right?

On video OSD the jump times (for example when jumping 15 min ahead in a film) are not alligned in height with the other elements. You might want to check that.

Last but not least: Is it possible to make fonts as big as you can??? (I know, I am repeating myself, hehe) Many thanks for this great skin, I can't stand B2

I had the same problem with the installer. I had to completely delete MP and reinstall fresh. My MP is installed in the default directory.

I thought it was discussed earlier in the thread, but i've added a note about the weatheroverlay plugin in red to the first post. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Btw, why did you use such a small font in EPG?

I don't have any problems with the font size on a 22" monitor, and nobody has brought it previously. I was also getting tired of not being able to see the entire program title because it ran longer than the alloted area. I switched to 12pt font to see what it looks like (its 10 now), and its not too bad, so its a possibility it will switch in the 6, 8 and 10 line tvguide. I was less happy with the look of a larger font for the TV Channel names. I'll use it for a couple of days and see if it grows on me.

Disabling the weatheroveraly plugin was discussed, but in post 268...20 posts back. I know that's kind of far back tho.

thanks for making this clear, I suppose lots of people would trumble over this problem not really knowing what went wrong, since the overlay plugin gets active even if not installing the nonafo skin.

if you are fine with the size of channel name rows, could you tell me how to change its size by myself? Here in Austria we have lots of german channels with big names. Whereas in the USA you just call your stations by acronyms, here they tend to use bigger names like "ZDFdokukanal" or "Premiere Sports 1"
