what you could try is to load the update in winzip or simular and extract the files from it. And then point the driver upgrade wizzard to the unpacked files.

I didn't know you could do that. But it doesn't yield the required files, unfortunately (using winzip). The unpacked dir doesn't containt any drivers.

    Hi All

    Tried Brocklanders suggestion and still no luck everything shows in device manager but no keyboard usage, gave up installed works copy of xp pro SP2 with all updates plugged in and recognised straight away without installing any other software patches. Sorry if this doesnot help anyone else but i'm wondering that because i was not supplied with xp disc only recovery disc set with my original pc maybe not complete in someway, anyway now one happy new year on the couch
