I finally have found a way to stop Windows Media Center from starting when I press the green button (thanks Legjno).

So now really everything works as it should... So my advise for IMON struglers is.. stop using it and buy a Microsoft IR receiver for $20 or something. The IMON is just a piece of crap, it is not only with us, but allmost every other mediacenter software has difficulties working with it as well as interferring with other remotes we all have laying around the sofa :)

The same goes for me. I have a Antec Fusion V2 case with built in IMON receiver that works great with Windows Media Center. The only problem is that I want to use MediaPortal, and as many others have found out, that don't work (for me only up/down/left/right and "Ok" button works). As a result of this I "disabled" IMON receiver and is now using Microsoft IR receiver and remote instead. That works great with MediaPortal.

So I think the only soloution to this is that someone could develop a plugin for MediaPortal to function together with IMON receiver.

I have the Antec Fusion Black 430 V2 with LCD display, and its working great with and-81`s IR Server Suite.

Try this and see if you get it working:
    Install IMons latest software.

Install IR Server Suite Test Build 1.4.2 RC1.

Replace the installed MPControlPlugin.dll in C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\process\ with the IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2 RC1 - MP Control Plugin update.

Go in IR Server Suite and stop the Input Service (under Input service configuration)
Replace/Ovewrite the files in C:\Program Files\IR Server Suite\IR Server Plugins\* with the IR server Plugin files that is inside the IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2 RC1 - Imon update.
In the same update (IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2 RC1 - Imon update)
you have the The Abstract Remote Model update file (imon pad.xml) replace the existing file in C:\Programdata\IR Server Suite\Input Service\Abstract Remote Maps\imon pad.xml whit the new one.

start the Input service again or reboot.
    Now is should be working.
Im allso using the CybrDisplayPlugin_05_01_2008, and its working just fine, but the lcd display is hard to read.

hmm... that's unusual... someone who isn't complaining about the SoundGraph hardware....

Complaints regarding the absolutely horid contrast on the SoundGraph LCD displays should be directed HERE (but, don't hold your breath waiting for a response!!... Support for the IR and display capabilities of the SoundGraph devices was developed with absolutely NO help from SoundGraph!)

Yes, I totally agree with you, my complain was about the LCD display itself, because your plugin actually makes the display more usable.
I would like to say thank you for your plugin. :D

    Hi linuxbazoka,
you said in previous post that you have Antec Fusion Black 430 V2 with LCD Display. Do you think that this will work for the VFD Display (that's what I have) as well ?
Should I have both IMON software and IR Server Suite installed?

    Hi linuxbazoka,

I followed your instructions, but I still do not have all buttons on the remote working, play, stop, skip etc... and the My Movies, My Photo etc...

I have the My Keys pluggin and the short cutter pluggin, I have set the remote to General HID, I tried to import a .imo file from Chemelli, but iMon reported a problem when I tried this and did not import the file, but a quick look at the mapping seemed to suggest all was ok.

What can I do further to fix this? Do I need to provide some debug output or should I simply take out all the pluggins, remove them from my PC and start over?

This looks like it is almost there, but just a little more would make the remote fool proof.

    Thanks,
    Stuart

I think at least the remote should work, its probably the same IR device? Yes you must have the IMon software installed. Inside IR Server Suite config you must set the remote hardware to Mce, IIRC it defaults to IMon pad.

I neither use the My Keys or the short cutter plugin, so I dont know about that.
I dont use a .imo file cause I dont have IMon software running, its just installed.
In MPControlPlugin config, the remote is set to (default) the abstract_something and its working here.
Yes, I would have taken out those plugins and started over.

    Hi,

I'm now searching for this option (to disable the imon-ir) in different new versions of IMon, but didnt found it yet. Can you please tell me, where i can disable it???

    Many thanks in advance...

    Hi gfacek,
Nothing special, I just uninstalled the IMON software and plugged in Microsoft IR Receiver instead.
