MCE remote/KB not working with RC4 (2 Viewers)

Aaaaaaahhhh, if you had said IRTrans a bit earlier, I could have given you an explanation...

IRTrans support has been removed on request by the author "hwahrmann" due to some major bugs. It will come back after the 0.2 release. Promised.
There were some big issues with the DLL he used, but he already found some way to work around it with some native, better, support which also incorporates the same mapper that is used for Microsoft certified receivers. You just need a bit patience, as we froze our code to get a stable 0.2 release.

Workaround

Until the plugin comes back, this is what I am doing as a workaround. You need to modify the C:\Program Files\IRTrans\remotes\apps.cfg file and add the following to the end of the file:

This will map some of the MCE remote commands to the MediaPortal keyboard commands. It isn't as good as native support though

Sorry I that I haven't told you before that the HD160 was using IRTrans. I'm rather a HTPC / MP newbie... in a hardware review site I've read something about MediaCenter remote of the HD160 and the remote control looks like one...

Thanks for posting the workaround - will use that until the plugin comes back!

So only one problem left to solve - the KNC1 DVB-C tuner. In the german forum I've read that some people got it working - will take a look there first.

Here's the remote I have, it came with my tuner.

On the bottom of the IR receiver it says SMK. I'll be posting the log as you asked me to do in a little bit.

FYI, I also tried the 4-22 build that you suggested someone use earlier in this thread, and that worked for me.

Additionally, I always start MP with mptray, by hitting the green button.
