    flagooner, Welcome :)

for help with the alternative plugin, check out the thread here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=11068
and if there are still questions, ask there as more people will be able to help.

To get you started, provided you have installed it correctly, go to mp config/plugins and enabe the plug in there. Now go to the config for it and adjust to your liking. Don't forget to disable the original MCE support in the remote section.

    Hi flagooner,

I wrote the MCE replacement plugin. It offers a lot of advantages over the built in MCE remote support, and you can use it with either the original or the replacement driver. It's a bit of an all-in-one plugin, and the configuration could be a little daunting to a beginer, but check it out anyway, it won't bite. :)

The best thing to do would be to download the plugin and read the documentation that is included inside the zip file. That will give you detailed information on how to install and configure the plugin.

As Marcus said (thanks Marcus!), if you have any questions the thread he listed would be the best place to ask. I monitor that thread pretty closely. I'm pretty keen to get people up and running and find ways to improve the plugin.

    Hope that helps,
