Noticed something else, now suspect that this is a loss of MP settings, when resumed from hibernate, another side effect is the mouse pointer will not disappear.
So it's like use mce remote unticked and hide mousepointer the same.
Check MP.xml and they are all at yes.

Again Have done a clean install of MP and configured only after 0.2.0.2 update installed.

    Boy is this frustrating

    I believe it :?

Later I will "update" to RC4 to check if it's a driver/update problem.

    Hi,
Just tested here & update from MP 0.2 to 0.2.0.2 & no problems with the MCE remote.
    Same here..

In fact I had this BEFORE the patch - like some others, too..

If this was working with 0.2 or RC4 please do a matrix which configuration does work and which does not.

If "the mce remote dev" isn't investigating here we'll add a workaround then

Just did a fresh install of RC04 and correct remote input atfer standby
    works out of the box.

I'll do a clean install of 0.2.0.0 to check if the updates are responsible for the problem.

    Mfg

Did a fresh install of 0.2.0.0 and the remote works,
after updating to 0.2.0.2 the problem shows up

Sorry deleted last answer because too many other issues turned up.

OK worked through 0.2 RC4 with 5 svn's spaced apart from each other, upto the last one from 3rd July 2006 which worked fine.
If i updated to 0.2 release got black screen. again after flokel's results, did a clean install with above results.
So the question is, what changed between RC4 with final svn and release 0.2 final.
now going back to RC4 07-03-2006 as will quite happily hibernate, but have not tested power scheduler yet. Will post back on same issue.

Thanking you all again for helping out on this one.

Edit; reinstalled 0.2 RC4 with last svn and going in and out of hibernate no problem. Same setup no reinstall windows, just deleted MP folder as in all previous installations and started from scratch.

Powerscheduler not working for me in RC4 + last svn, freezing MP and besides using the reset button not much use, so back to 0.2 + 0.2.0.3 update, as flokel states you can unplug ir reciever to restore remote.
    just got to be patient.

This is not really a solution

For now I'll stick to 0.2.0.0 as I'm experiencing some picture and sound sync problems with the updates as well.

Okay, I'll ask the team what we do with you people
Seems like this is somehow hardware dependend - maybe we can introduce a hidden setting for double init of remotes..

Try a fresh SVN build instead of this stable patch and report back, pls.
