I'm probably going about this the long way but what I'm trying to find out is - The icons that appear under the description for a TV show are read from the mediainfo dll correct? Well where does that read the info from? Is there some sort of header data in video files that can be seen? The reason I ask is that I've ripped my season 1 boxset of a TV show using a program called handbrake, I've converted them to (.avi / xvid / mp3) and none of the icons show under the episode descriptions, the files play fine however. I did have one episode that was corrupted so I copied this from a friend's set of AVI's and this one showed up with the "mp3" and "xvid" icons, as if it had been encoded in such a way that it would indicate to the mediainfo dll somehow. How does this work???

Have you tried re-scanning the MediaInfo, you can do the whole set in Configuration or you can enter the Actions... menu in the plugin and scan the selected item.

If it doesn't work for you, you may need to post your concerns on the MediaInfo forums because as you suspect this info comes from that DLL.

And what does it say in Configuration when you select an episode in the Detail tab. You can see all the MediaInfo fields in the Grid.
