I am using the current release of media portal with no nightlies applied running the SpinSafe Revolve skin on Windows Media Center 2005. When I am playing videos (vob files ripped from DVD) media portal will become unresponsive when the movie ends. Sometimes I can esc and get back to my library of videos, but almost always after that, it locks up, and mostly after the movie ends, I have no control over the program. the mouse and keyboard appear to work, but I can't get any response from media portal. I am using the Logitech bluetooth DiNovo Edge keyboard to control. After this happens I can't get ctrl-alt-delete to work and normally have to turn off the system by pressing the power button. Other skins do the same thing as well.
Anyone?

    You need to:
    1. Fill out hardware and software specs - use "My system" found in "User CP" (remember to activate)
    2. Attach log files. Use MPTestTool found in Start -> Program files -> MediaPortal

Just applied the last nightly, and same behavior. What do you mean User CP? where is this. Sorry to be dense. I am very new to this amazing product.

    No problem :)

Was gonna make a guide for this, but in short:
User CP = User Control Panel
    View attachment 19028
    then
    View attachment 19029
    then in "Edit Profile"
    Display System Specs
Would you like to show other members your computer specs? Default is (NO) This will be displayed in your posts via a drop down menu for other members to view. Add your system specs in your usercp Edit options.
    Yes

    HTH :)

I think you should try changing your codecs in the Video and DVD sections of MP control panel.
I had this a while ago too, with some codecs.

Try the default MPV and MPA or DScaler and see how those work to help rule out a codec issue.

Same problem. Time on video I am watching is 1 sec from end (that is as far as it goes). I hit escape, and the program works for a minute, until I hit a control at the top. then it locks up. I just played the video over ethernet on another computer using Media portal and had no problems.
