I have a feature request for the next version. Could the program write a log file into the folder showing what has been renamed.

The reason is, sometimes I want to refer to the original filenames, as often i want a set of a series from one source and this helps enourmously.

This is the tool that i have been looking for forever. Thanks a million, saves such a headache. Would be the cat's meow if one could you use it to rename ROMS for emulators.

Thanks, FOD

It seems like there was a short problem with the DNS resolution of the domain. It has been resolved now and the page is back again.

I just wanted to say Thank you for making a Great program! It has helped me so much in getting my Shows & Movies named just right! Hey i have a question for you, would it you be able to add a way to add episode numbers and season numbers to a file such this example (The Twilight Zone - A Hundred Yards Over the Rim.mpg) I have a replay tv box and this is the way it names its files, i would love to be able to have your program add the episode and Season numbers to these files. I have a ton of them and this would make life alot easier.

If you need any more examples just ley me know!

Thanks again for all your hard work!

Thank you very much. I really like it when my programs are useful to others.
At the moment I am putting the finishing touches on my diploma thesis which means that I will have more time for the next version of the MediaRenamer suite soon. I have thought about adding such a feature and am thinking about the best way to implement it. It is on my feature wishlist for the next version.

Best regards,
Benjamin

Hi,
I Just installed the plugin (v1.4 beta 3)to try it out. Very nice tool, but I cant get the context menu to work. Any ideas?

Edit: I fixed it. I first installed v1.3 then I installed v1.4b3 over it and now it works.

Small Poll

iMse: ok, good to know. I will probably have to rewrite the shell extension installer since it will currently not install here in Vista (using 64bit edition).

===============================================

I have a small "poll" for those ALL using the tool:

Do you use it to rename files on a network share and if so is the share on a Windows Box or a Samba Share from Linux ?

The background to the question is the automatic renaming feature I am working on.

Yes, on a Windows Box.

Tip: Add a "real" poll to the thread and you wont have 100ish similar posts. ;)
