Quick question about this app... If I rename files, say, in my Recorded TV folders, does it update the name change in the MP database, so I can keep going to recorded TV in MP, or no, in which case I'd have to go to MyVideos?
No, it will just rename the file. It will not touch the MP database.

There is currently no way to configure the extensions in the application. I can add them manually to the internal list.

Hi ccMatrix i don't know what's the problem but after install the last version the TV Show Renamer stop working. He doens't get the name of the episode.

In the left window appears on the getEpisodeData() the error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I remove this final version installed the 1.3 and the problem remains :(

Can you help me???

Hi!

I'm wondering, is it possible to grab the episode data from some other site (like tv.com) instead of episodeworld? Episodeworld doesn't seem to have all the series I'm looking for, but tv.com does.

Thanks anyhow for a very useful program =)!

/Micke

My suggestion, if such a switch were to be made, would be to grab them from ZSori's TV database (tvdb.zsori.com). That feeds off of TV.com, but is also user-maintained for series that don't appear on tv.com. In addition, its the same site that is used by the MyTVSeries plugin, so episode name conflicts would never be a problem.

The program has also stopped working for me. It was throwing an unhandled exception for me earlier. it scans and doesnt ever grab the info from episodeworld. This is strange because it was working great earlier.

Interesting tool. bu tI am getting a couple odd results.

First the movie "The Illusionist" gets renamed to "The Anal-ist 2 (1986).divx". Um...not exactly what I had in mind. LOL

Also the toll give me four file names when there are three in the folder???? Its a name of a file that was there a month ago??

Lastly, It finds Stargate SG-1 - 10x13 with no problem but Stargate SG1 - 10x15 gives me a weird result.

thought you should know.
ITs a cool idea however, I figure I can use it to clean up my torrent downloads
cheers

Which version are you currently using ?
The first one is probably because in the frist version I used several fixed words that are removed from the filename which included the word "Illusion" so it will search for "The ist" which probably is the cause for that error.

How it finds deleted files is totally beyond me.

The Stargate SG1 error is because the search page I use on episodeworld.com will not find Stargate SG-1 when searched for Stargate SG1.

I'll upload a new beta soon. Please give a try then and let me know if those errors remain.
