What you mean by "reuse" in the case of skin files? If a skin only provides a zip of the skin/media files, what has to be done for installation in the new BETA 1? Are there any skin changes between Alpha 1.1.0 and the new BETA 1.1.0? I couldn't see anything on the roadmap or the WIKI that indicated there are. But I've been known to miss things occasionally !do not reuse any skins, plugins, databases or configuration files from MediaPortal 1.0.x or 1.1.0 ALPHA with this BETA!
Chris, can you clarify the following from your first post under Installation Notes:

Do you mean the link inDetailed list of skinchanges between 1.0.2 and 1.1.0 Beta 1 can be found in the first post.
I just "hope" that our devs documented everything there as well.
? That has not changed between the Alpha and Beta release afaik! And I subscribe!A few more features have been added to the SkinEngine
1.1.0 ALPHA was release on 2009-06-09Thanks - very clear!

What I am trying to figure out, is if a skin works in Alpha will it work in Beta?
My confusion, I forgot those changes since the Alpha were released were in SVN not the Alpha! DUH! Some skins were already using the Beta features for SVN users before the Beta was released. And they are great changes btw. Really nice to see some major improvements in the skin engine. Thanks a lot!::The skinchanges page:: was at least aedited 10 times since that.
You answered your own question.you forgot to enable the package to allow it to be installed on server2003. is this possible in some kind of way?
I know it is not supported. but i would like to do it anyway
