[News] MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC1 - delayed (4 Viewers)

The release will be published as soon as we think that it is ready. We want it out as much as everyone else.
But it is a lot of work to get it done _right_ .

It is on 100% on TVServer - but who knows if new issues appear in the quality check or how long it takes. I am fine with my current installation, so please take your testing time!

edit: now new bugs are listed. strange!

No clue where you have been looking at because TvServer Project has open bugswhich were added more than one month ago.

I for one am not that much interested in the TV-server, because i don't/can't use it (damn UPC). I guess I am not the only one. Why not release a version without TV-server function? Or are the two too much intwined for that??

come on guys,

the devs are doing an amazing job on the former, this and the future releases. MP consists of the server and the client. If the team wants to release the whole package, than it's their decission and they have reasons for this.

support the team, don't just ask for new versions to be released faster.

that would just be the equivalent of downloading the latest snapshot and not using tv.

I have the same issue - I want to reinstall my system, but I am not going to use TV on it. Will downloading the latest beta+SVN (?) be the same as waiting for the release?

as long as nothing else gets changed in client before release then yes the functionality will be the same but there will be few differences with version numbers etc which might throw skins and plugins

Not exactly, I don't use my htpc for tv viewing but I do have a large number of transport streams that i've aquired. So I rely on the tsreader for playback of those. Since it's not possible in mp to use another splitter.

just rename your *.ts files to *.mkv and MP will use tha haali splitter (if installed) and not TsReader.

Will there be an updated SVN anytime soon? That way people that don't use the TV-server can somehow use RC1
