    For your information: Just tried to (re)install 1.27. Final and there I get the same error... so it's not releated to 1.28 pre...

    I looked it up, before installing it is best to stop the TV server, and check that in the folder with the configuration and in the folder where Media Portal is installed there is no rebootflag file. If there is, delete it. Try again.
    You can uninstall Mediaportal, restart your computer and install it.
    You can remove the TV Server autorun from the services, set it to Manual. Restart the computer, check that the TV Server is not started and install it.

    how can I see if there is a rebootflag file?
    Go to folder "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\" look for rebootflag file
    Go to folder "C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\" look for rebootflag file

    How do I "look"?
    I look with my eyes ... The files are sorted by name, and I look all with the letter R ... Is there such a file, with such a name. :):coffee::whistle:
