The plugin uses incorrect directory path for dumping xml data(Debug checkbox checked) causing exception. Try patched version from the attached file (AnyCPU).
I did a test with trial account:
If it still doesn't work then post your logs in debug mode. You can also try to monitor http data flow on your NIC with Wireshark.

I did a test with trial account:
- communication seems to be working
- xml data were correctly dumped into "C:\Users\All Users\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\schedulesdirectupdate.xml" file
- tested x64 version
- forced update upon start checked: refresh is executed cca 15s after start of the service
